[b][i]The scientist shows visible relief at the sound of your voice. "Yes I can hear you, thank the Emperor!" Exclaims the old scientist. "I need your help, we aren't safe here." Says he man as he sends a file to your data slate. "My name is Dr H, and I've been doing ancient artifact research in this archive chamber since I woke up on this ship about a month ago, but I was originally attached to the Death Angel legion to be their Xenologist, therefore I'm familiar with this ship." He begins. "About a week ago, I found something... Something ancient and horrible... And I believe it could potentially explain some issues we've been facing on the ship." He continues, tears forming in his eyes. "The instant I discovered the origin of the hourglass, a horde of demons attacked... They killed everyone on my team, including my wife. Now I am locked in this panic room, and have been for 8 days.... I'm surrounded by demons and I am in need of your assistance." The man is holding a triangular item in his hand. "I must deliver a sensitive message to your superiors, much is at stake." Says the man as the image fades. Nearby, a previously locked door unlocks and opens. The sign over the door reads "Xenos Artifacts." [/i][/b]

The members of kilo 2 loaded fresh magazines into their weapons, and McGregor took point, activating his shield and switching to his Bison PDW, his Exosuit allowing him to steady it without his other hand. Thomas and Gideon came next with assault rifles and Briggs followed with the MG. Oscar Pretoria, brought up the rear with his chainsword and bolter.

[b][i]A bright flash and a gust of hot air come from the other side of the door, the distinctive smell of ozone catches your attention. A demon in the heavily armored body of a corrupted space marine rushes at McGregor, his huge mass slamming into the activated shield like a tsunami impacting a flood wall. The hulking demon seizes McGregor's shield with one arm, pulling it tight against its chest, other abnormally long and heavily plated arm reaching around the shield and seizing the gun hand. With the demon's great strength, it holds you in place, putting you between it and the guns of your allies. Behind the astartes demon approaches half a dozen similarly looking enemies - also behind the meat shield of McGregor. Two krak grenades are tossed over McGregor and the first demon and explode amongst the ranks of your men. [spoiler]ill let you decide the damage the grenades do[/spoiler] Another bright flash erupts behind the imperials, this one seems different, however. Your motion tracker picks up movement in front of and behind you as more enemies enter the the combat. [/i][/b]

The krack grenades are designed for anti armor use, using them to eliminate personnel is ill advised. The Exosuits were equipped with an anti rocket/grenade system call ARMS, anti rocket munitions system, Whichh eliminated one of the grenades before it hit the ground using electromagnetic pulses. The explosion from the remaining explosion tossed specialist Thomas into Gideon. Were it not for their armor they both would have died, but the exosuits saved their lives, but they were injured and stunned for a moment. Captain Briggs ran forward and pulled the machete on McGregor's armor free, climbing over his soldier he proceeded to hack and slash at the daemon, aiming for joints and unprotected areas. Oscar about faced and charged the daemons coming from the rear with his chain sword and Bolter in full gear.

[b][i]The first demon's head and shoulders are heavily damaged, it's head hangs on by a single strand of muscle fibers, the brain spasms and seizes up the armor plate - squeezing McGregor in a vise of armor. Standing on the shoulders of McGregor put the second warrior into the line of fire. A point blank, mass reactive shell detonates against his chest, blasting him off the shoulders of the warrior below him. Nothing comes from behind yet, but 4 hulking chaos demons remain in the front.[/i][/b]
