*Crossbow takes out his crossbow. The bayonet looks threatening. He lowers it, but doesn't let go* [i]calm down girl. Name's Crossbow.[/i]

[b]The girl relaxes slightly.[/b] "My name is Ember. So I assume we will fight now?"

[i]If you'd like. Mortar would be better at sword to sword combat, but he's...[/i] *He looks at the crimson fog masking the twilight* [i] He's not exactly "himself"[/i]

"What's wrong with him, then?"

[i]Erm... Long ago, he was a thoughtless war beast that was almost unstoppable. Well, something triggered him, and... that lifestyle is back.[/i]

"I see." [b]Suddenly, Ember brandishes a dagger.[/b] "Let's see how close I can get."

[i]To me or him?[/i]

"I'll make do with what is before me now."

[i]Alright.[/i] *Crossbow readies, his XBow aimed at your chest* [i]Your move.[/i]

[b]Ember charges forward, with inhuman speed.[/b]

*Crossbow raises a shadow in front of himself and you are engulfed, then you get out and run into a wall. He used a shadow portal on you*

[b]The figure of Ember shimmers slightly and explodes into a fan of knives before dissipating. Ember rematerializes behind you.[/b] "Not bad."

*Without looking, Crossbow aims his crossbow behind his back and fires at your chest* [i]You aren't bad either.[/i]

[b]Ember deflects it, but is knocked back.[/b]

*Crossbow quickly turns around, blowing his hood off. Under his hood was a bleached white skull.* *He puts five arrows on the crossbow and fires*

[b]Ember gracefully slides under the barrage of arrows, then throws a knife at Crossbow's head.[/b]

*Crossbow catches the knife, and while you slide, he slices your arm with the bayonet*

[b]Ember winces in pain, but unleashes a flurry of slashes at Crossbow.[/b]

*The ones that slice my clothes reveal a ribcage and nothing else. You get your knife stuck between two ribs, and Crossbow punches you to get you away from him*

[b]Ember is sent reeling from this punch. Upon recovery, Ember presses a trigger-like protrusion on her remaining dagger, and throws it.[/b]

*Crossbow steps to the side, grazing his shoulder, also bone* *He aims his crossbow, and it releases two shadowy dragons towards you (Think overwatch)*

[b]Ember unsheathes her sword, and slashes. This releases a shockwave that nullifies the dragons.[/b]

*Crossbow is knocked back, but he gets up and jumps over you, firing a few shots at you*
