What is the worst genre of music?
I personally hate both Country and Rap, and think they are trash, but what do you guys think?

If you say a music genre is trash because it's not your preferred genre, your opinion is irrelevant. I may not like hip hop, but it's not trash, I just don't prefer it. Goes double if you aren't an artist yourself, I'm not an artist so therefore what I would consider "trash" is irrelevant.

So many bands sounds the same these days, it's depressing. Oh, you named your band Dopesmoker? HMMMMM I WONDER WHAT BAND INFLUENCED YOUR SOUND THE MOST? Could it be Sleep, producer of one of the most famous stoner metal albums, Dopesmoker? HELL NO IT COULDNT BE THEM? Are you just another stoner metal band using the same sounds and techniques as every other generic heavy blues-influenced psych band? HELL NO NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS!!

11 RepliesSmooth Jazz. Holy Shit. Just, no. There are a ton of genres of music that are shit: screamo, country, etc. But smooth jazz takes the cake. Not only is it a bastardization of one of the most important western music genre [jazz and blues paved the way for rock music], but it is completely void of any musical creativity or imagination.

To answer this question, I put myself in a situation where I imagined being locked in a room and forced to listen to a different genre each day at a volume high enough to not cause any actual physical damage. All day, 24 hours straight. My answer is unequivocally, Rap.
