As many of you know, The video game No Mans Sky has been delayed.
The author who announced it first, Jason Schreier of Kotaku, is and has apparently faced a huge influx of death threats by crazed fans of the game who didn't believe him.

Now let's just sit there and wonder for a second.
Yeah, it's the internet. Death threats and calls for suicide are as common as political "debates"
I chuckle every time
and Godwinslaw.
But ask yourself, should this really be the case? It seems a little stupid and awful. Okay, a lot stupid and awful. I know I'm being a hypocrite, because I have and will do these things online for whatever reason. But it will always be in a joshing manner. Some of these tweets he got, looked dangerously real.
And it was over a video game delay folks. He didn't come out and say he was gay, or his name was now Sue, or he like watching little children on the playground. This is a new low in petty crap. Even for the internet.
I guess the point is, don't be a diсk, diсk. Especially not over something so petty. Videogames and forums should not be your reason for living, and if they are, you should go seek out professional help to deal with the underlying issues and move on with your life.

No man's sky looks like a game that everyone will say 'look it's so new and different it's amazing! GOTY!' Then within 2 weeks no one gives a shit.

"A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad." -Shigeru Miyamoto.

I don't even think No man's sky will be that good :/

Inb4 half life 3 announced and gets delayed a few months. Riots in the streets. Anarchy.

Can I just be given God powers so I can change these sort of people into more kind, productive, reasonable people? Like, please?

What's no mans sky?
prepares for hate...
Listen, I'm so stoked for that game, but I don't mind a few months of delay. It's disappointing, but I'm not gonna -blam!-ing kill someone for it
-
Running Man Challenge but i did poorly
-
Not only is it stupid to threaten someone over a game being delayed, he's in no way responsible for that delay. It's basically "kill the messenger" mentality.
-
Sure, let's kill the messenger. That'll show 'em.
-
Wow a videogame is delayed. Big fuсking deal. Some people need to go outside for once.
-
They didn't believe him about what?
-
Sorry, could you repeat that last bit? Couldn't really hear you over the sound of myself digging a grave for my faith in humanity
-
I really like peanut butter
-
I'm super mad about the delay, but why would you send death threats to him?
-
Damn reporter, delaying the game. Better want him to die
-

Edited by Alpha: 6/2/2016 1:51:09 AMLike so what, few weeks? Who cares? It's a video game.
-
I don't give a shit because Kotaku
-
I personally hope that with this delay that the game will blow my mind when I play it
-
Shameless bump

Almost every single game that has been released recently has had a slight delay in its release date. I don't quite see the big deal about this one instance. It sucks, sure, but that is far from reason to send death threats to the guy.
