POLL: ALL IN FAVOR OF DROPPING LAST GEN SAY AYE!
I'm not going to lie, they should have initially made Destiny for the current gen consoles back in 2013. From where we are today it's like people who didn't want to buy a Blu-ray player when their DVD player still worked. The current gen consoles have been out for 3 years almost... 3 freaking years! Those systems came out over 10 years ago! Get over it, I ate a pb&j everyday for 3 months straight to save up and buy the PS4. Yes I just bought the PS3 two years before. But I could tell a remarkable difference after playing it on the PS4
For those of you who wish to believe it plays and looks exactly the same check out the video, you will be surprised. I catch myself viewing out into the Cosmodrome all the time. EDIT 2: Thanks again for all the support guys, once again I understand what some people mean by having to change to a new system, buy the same game again. But listen to me and wait until they announce either a system bundle or deluxe edition ROI. It will save you lots of moneys and it will give you some time to save up and decide if sticking with your manufacturer or going to the "other" brand (Ps4 has exclusives 😄) Stay salty guardians and see you all in September!

Making Destiny year 1 a cross generation game makes perfect sense from a business point of view, and since year 2 is nothing but DLC it makes sense to keep all that cross generation too. 2. Wait! You are telling me a game look sbetter on more powerful hardware? That is shocking. Somebody call Fox News. 3. The game will play exactly the same. Other than frame rate/latency the extra power of current gen will not change the game-play at all.

Im against dropping it i think its unfair to people who have been playing the game from day one why not let ps3/360 users see out the game they love then drop them wen d2 comes out

Whats great is that everyone now has THREE GOD DAMNED MONTHS to save for a ps4/one. If you can't do that in three to four months. Maybe even five, then you don't have the right to complain. I doubt you have the inability to save. If all is lost, sell all of your current gaming items to BOOST YOUR FÚCKING SELF.

I am on current gen, but to not let people on last gen finish the game before d2 isn't really great. But in a completely selfish way I say good riddance to last gen.

Old gen holds back the potential that current gen is capable of with it gone we can have far more things that are spectacular like big abilities and cutscenes and even more

All of us that can, should upgrade if they want to play. I spent 500 for a PS3 in my currency in 2013, and then caved in and spent 649 on a PS4 in 2014. Sure I lived on Ramen for a few weeks, but is that the end of the world? No. I started destiny on last gen, loved it. Moved to current gen and still love it. This whole thing would be stupid if you had to pay for a new DLC on last gen but couldn't play it on last gen. But you don't, you can still play the last three major expansions along with the base game as long as you'd like. I support a drop of last gen, as the demand for hardware gets higher, hardware gets stronger. For example, that's why the PS4 isn't just a re-skinned PS3, it's got greater hardware. Almost everything between last gen and current gen is equal, sure the vault comparison thing is gone from last gen. If we want to see the mechanics and code of Destiny improve over time, to have bigger maps, potentially even 60fps when the x.5 consoles come out(NEO etc), to see the entire hardware for the Xbone and PS4 used for destiny, then we need to understand that last gen is holding us back.

That would be like saying "This movie is avaliable for this curved 4k tv and this tube tv but we didn't want to let the tube tv users feel left out so we made this movie 280p". I love how the "time to upgrade people" think that somehow just leaving old gen will somehow make the game better. Destiny right now is like a old rusted sink with rusted pipes(PS3 and Xbox 360) the water is gonna be rusty. The PS4 and Xbox1 versions is just a pretty sink with the same rusty pipes the water is still rust filled. Also remember the old gen is preventing more vault space thing then they pulled a miracle and found two more pages, sound more like Bungie's bad programing rather that old gen holding us back. the game was built for the old consoles and the core programing will not magically get better. It's like a wood table with bad legs isn't going to get better just because you replace the wood top with marble and keep the bad wood legs. And this is from a person that saved up for a PS4 for months.
