It's nothing personal.
Old gen is only going to hold destiny back, although I doubt this dlc will will prove that.

But how will it hold destiny back, I'm not seeing this.
-
Technical limitations. The hardware is over 10 years old. It can't handle modern graphics, framerates, and memory requirements. Why do you think certain emotes and stuff aren't on old Gen. Just wait for a deal when you get like 100 bucks trade in on your old system. I see those all the time.
-
Those deals aren't so frequent where I am.

Edited by bobadobadob: 6/8/2016 10:05:22 PMI'm not hugely clued up on what the technical differences are between old and new, but I'm really hoping that the newer gen has better processors and imaging. Something that destiny can not use to its fullest. Well it's pretty obvious really. Not forgetting the lower capacity hard drive. I'm surprised you can get the game with all the dlcs on an old gen system
-
The newer PS3s had the same capability as the PS4 (500GB hard drive)
-
Ok, make certain things next gen only, the game works fine on my system, and you guys get better graphics anyways. Also, yeah, load times suck.
-
Old gen has held this game back for way too long. Old gen has restricted dedicated servers, content and the overall experience of destiny. This game could be so much better without old hardware holding back current hardware.
-
Okay. First, how has it restricted content? I want to know. Second, what about the experience was reduced? Third, Battlefield 4 had dedi's for old gen consoles that still work well today, so that doesn't apply.
-
Then why not just make certain features next gen only. I enjoy the game as it is, and so id rather not get cut out because I have other priorities to spend money on.
-
In three years since One/PS4 launch you couldn't put $15 aside a week to buy a new console? It's not a damn gaming rig that costs 2k.
-
My financials aren't your business anyways, I'm just saying no, I couldn't.
-
Because then you and other old gen users would be posting 'it's not fair, why haven't we got that' instead
-
I wouldnt personally so long as I got a valid reason as to why.
-
You can't just give certain features to next gen. You'd basically have to cut content completely out of last gen and there'd be simply no point in that. Honestly, people have had 3 years to save money up by now and with the next gen consoles lowering in price with sales, I don't see any reason why people can't upgrade. It's just better for the future of destiny.
-
Sorry my finances aren't good enough to keep playing my favourite game. Also, you could cut the content, as you'd only be keeping 20% of players without it and keep more than enough income.
-
To be fairly honest, I don't even think last gen can cope with anymore DLCs from destiny. It already had storage issues from TTK and another similar DLC is just not going to cut it. Even certain emotes aren't on last gen because of these issues. Even if you were to cut content, what's the point? Your just killing all of the amazing experience of destiny. You really don't want to experience the full thing? I'd doubt the raid would make it if it was coming to last gen.
-
I still have 177g left
-
Honestly, my destiny experience is fine. I'm fine with cutting content from last gen so long as there's a valid reason.
