Prepare for a long post. There is a TL:DR at the bottom.
For those that don't know, the nightfall this week is the Archon Priest. I don't know if it cycles between The Regular or Taken Version, but my experience was the Taken.
The modifiers are Void Burn, Brawler, Grounded and Trickle. The last time this was the strike, Trickle was a modifier as well as exposure. The issue with Void Burn is that everything that is a Taken Vex (which is 90% what spawns in the strike) can 1 Shot You with a void weapon. Especially the Hobgoblin's explosive arrows that auto attack you. Not to mention that the fallen vandals already can two shot you.
Naturally, To counter this, I put on my VoidWalker Subclass. But wait, Trickle Cuts my abilities recharge rate in a percentage more than 50%. That really nullifies my Nothing Manacles Setup with Embrace the Void and Annihilate because my grenade didn't charge to a full grenade when it damaged an enemy, only 1/4th. Not to mention, you're super is Already charging slow and you're not going to go around meleeing things with Brawler modifier because you are going to die by a Void Taken Vex. Trying to jump and Launch a Super and Die? Trying to jump out the way of an attack or avoid being in the air? Thank the grounded modifier.
Weapons wise, I thought Juggler was on as well because no ammo would drop for me till near the end. My loadout was a Firefly Smite of Merain to have bonus taken damage, with The Quest version of 1000 Yard Stare, and Truth. It was very painful for me without ammo.
For those wanting to say "shut up and adapt", how am I going to do that if I can't dodge void attacks that one shot, both ground and air, can't launch a super in air, and run out of ammo to deal with the enemy snipers? Or, when a Taken Goblin shields another Taken with void attacks and they shoot me and can't do a thing about it? I also shouldn't have to switch weapons if I am comfortable using the weapons I want to use. This is why We need Elemental Primaries to return. Its probably the best thing to happen and this nightfall is a reason why.
I get that the nightfall is supposed to be challenging, but it shouldn't cripple you to the point where you so underpowered, you're basic maneuvers or modifers don't help you all, to the point it mainly giving a huge advantage to your enemies.
To add to that: A Response that I made earlier:
I had FUN doing nightfalls in year 1 because we had guns that did something, gave out good rewards, and tried out new things. And it was also fun having advantages and disadvantages in nightfalls.
Now, its just being disadvantaged, there aren't any unique guns I could choose from and isn't fun. Sure, most nightfalls are quicker, but the rewards arent satisfying especially when you reach 335. Especially this one. I was also a better PVE player in year 1 before I started doing worse since I shifted PVP.
Lastly, fix your strike reward drops and rolls. I got a Stolen Will with Exhumed. It got dismantled immediately. Thanks for 18 Strange Coins though. I did need that.
TL:DR
-Nightfall was Taken Archon Priest
-Cripples Guardians with Void Burn, Grounded, and Trickle
-95% Of all Enemies 1-Shoted You or Killed You fast with a Void Weapon via being on ground or in the air.
-Can't really adapt with no ammo and Brawler was wasted because you would most likely get 1-Shoted in that Time Frame.
-Fix Strike Drops and Rolls.
Future note: Edit for spelling mistakes.
Edit: Thanks for commenting. Let's keep this going and get this word out to others. Maybe Cozmo will see this. On the bright side, this week is MAYHEM CLASH. YES!

Easier than year one. I remember archon priest with arc burn. My noob days when I only had an ice breaker. That used to take forever. This one was painful, but this over year one nightfall any day.
