Its not really up to us so this is kind of pointless but while I do get why they should drop the last gen I also understand that some people are waiting for a good price drop or simply cant afford it for whatever reason or maybe they just don't want to purchase it yet, who knows, I took almost two years to buy mine.
Lets be honest here, the starting prices for these platforms are never worth it they just want to take some money from the day one fanboys with a ridiculous price hike, a hike of at least 150 - 200 bucks now that I think about it, didn't the PS3 cost more than the PS4 on release, lmao its ridiculous how many suckers are out there. Sure its been a few years now and the price has dropped a bit but its really not worth it yet when you look at the library of games on each platform most of which are not exclusive and even the rumors of new platforms already being made, PS4.5, not to mention basic affordability.
There's plenty of reasons not to buy one really and forcing a purchase will just turn more people off than on. Unless you absolutely love the game, people wont buy it and I don't think there's enough people that absolutely love Destiny but rather more people that have a love hate relationship with it and this is just more fuel for that fire sadly.
To each there own!
