Will people who don't get the new dlc get a regular y3(or 2 or watever) gjallajhorn?
because basically you have to pay 30$ to get the y3 gally(the regular or the iron one), which i guess is kind of pay to win.

It's still not pay to win. It's like saying every dlc before this is pay to win since you needed the dlc for newer and better weapons :/
-
true, i shouln't have called it pay2win :\ *succ succ succ*

Well you see if it's a quest line which would be new content no you can't get it, but you can't get any of the year two quest line weapons if you do not own ttk. I think you're trying to stretch logic to make a square peg fit into a round hole. Now if you subscribe to the sheep subset that believe that they should receive everything for free without buying the dlcs then I guess it is grossly unfair.
-
also, i love putting sqaure pegs in my round hole. trust me they fit *succ succ succ*

I'm sorry I think I was condescending!! I'm trying to be above that in here. I'm cool with sarcastic humor but I re-read what I posted and I sound like a total di;k with that last part. And I've spent the last 43 yrs of my life pounding square pegs into just about anything !

lol no problem some things are difficult to word through text. you can't get the feeling of how the personvis saying it. and i do wish they could keep everything in the game relevant to add as much variety as possible, but they followed the mmo path, which which i was burnt out on a week after the april update
-
I totally agree and maybe it's harder than I think but it seems bringing raids up in difficulty and drops, would be really easy then you would have fire teams able to go through play lists. And if it's something about not letting those that did not get expansions not getting free level up by playing or knocked out of playing all together if brought to current light level difficulty, then not sure why they cannot just go the hard mode and legacy pathway. Think how cool it would be to be able to run all raids in a relevant way, hell time gate them to string us along- more variety equals more playtime which means more retained players that will buy next dlc and destiny 2. Seems a win win situation unless some crazy bizarre coding issue.
-
yea, if they made everything relevant, i would most likely still be playing. i loved the titan vog armor, and who cares if its the only armor i used???(i didnt, i liked to mix and match, also never got Voc or fatebringer so i didn't just use those.) and what about new players??? whats their incentive(or how can they find people) or learn about Vog, Crota, etc. if no one else is playing them anymore? it seems like the game is "o i remember when, ____, o look at this cool ___ i have and you don't"
-
yea makes sense the quest would be tied to the dlc. *succ succ succ*
because basically you have to pay 30$ to get the y3 gally(the regular or the iron one), which i guess is kind of pay to win.
If by basically you mean not at all then yeah.
-
if you don't get the dlc, you don't get the new gally(either version) so, do you need to buy the new dlc to get it? if you don't, will you still get a new g-horn?
-
Have people who didn't buy DLC ever gotten the new gear at release? No. Did anyone spend $20 on Necrocasm? No. Did anyone spend $40 on Raze-Lighter? No. That money is spent on a full* content expansion/ update and ALL of the gear associated. Rise of Iron isn't going to be any different save for a different weapon skin. Nobody is paying $30 for Gjallarhorn. They're paying $30 for an expansion that happens to come with Gjallarhorn.
-
if you look at it that way, i guess u are getting a new expansion and an added gun u already had. i just don't kno why they updated some guns and didn't make em all relevant.

Hype and Nostalgia? It's been Bungie's marketing strategy for a while now.
-
well, damn. it sure works. i mean they kno how to hype people up. i almost got excited then i had flashbacks to TTK. l and if they like the game, fine, get the dlc. but idk how people will just blindly pay for anything bungie throws or takes away from them and re-skins and re-releases it.
probally because the majority of the fanbase are 12 year olds.
Why play destiny if nothing is up to date? Thats like people still play destiny with only the dark below and HoW expansions. It makes no sense.
Why play destiny if nothing is up to date? Thats like people still play destiny with only the dark below and HoW expansions. It makes no sense.
this was why i stopped playing. its just not my type of game (anymore, House of wolves had the most activities and was most fun imo) this is an alt btw. made it to the free april update and stopped playing
