"Dude... You are in for a trip. The Chaos forces around here basically only worship these guys. But she's chill."
Lucien motions to the woman.
"If she really wanted to kill you, she'd try to bite you."
"That's not funny..."
She pouts. But he was right. She wasn't hostile by any means... She certainly held the hourglass figure of a succubus, and the bright eyes of something inhuman... But her giant friend was far more intimidating.
"But, if it makes you feel any better, we are on the same page as you, so if you need some backup or shit, we got you."

He relaxed a little, and let his rifle rest on his sling across his chest. He muttered a small prayer they could only hear "... Forgive me..." He shook his head. "Alright, I suppose I don't have much of a choice, do you both have weapons?"
-
Lucien chuckles, pushing his brown scarf from around his waist and revealing two massive revolvers... Both about the size of his head... Which wasn't small by any means. And the woman merely nods, though it didn't really look like she was armed. "I had a sword and two one handers... But I need to find a good place for a summon to get them here." Lucien remarks. "And my weapons lay in my seals." Lea muses... Clearly talking about something inhuman.
-
"Alright, I have a few extra guns if anyone needs them. Plus enough explosives to level a city block. Here's that food and water. We don't have a lot of time. There's worse things than chaos cultists around."
-
Lea takes the water happily and downs it quickly, Lucien merely turning to look around. The big man seemed to hold no fear. "How have you managed?" She asks when she finishes off her drink.
-
"Armor cloaks, has a shield, and I was made to survive anywhere."
-
"Mhmm." She raises an eyebrow at the statement but doesn't push farther. When Lucien eventually turns back around, he motions to the soldier. "Alright, what now, Boss?"
-
"First things first, from what I've gathered on data slates there's a water treatment lab down this corridor." He said pointing down the way the two were headed when he stopped them.
-
"What do you want from it... The water? It's gonna be well guarded y'know."
-
"You have a better plan? Cause I'm open to suggestions, we can handle a few cultists."
-
"Well, like I said... I don't really need the water. But I'm willing to help. As long as I can go loud." He chuckles and folds his arms.
-
"Loud is fine, not like they won't know where we are after we hit it."
-
"True... Alright, Lea. You stay here." "What? Why?" "Cause you'll just be a problem, plus, it's easier if you don't cause explosions... I'd rather not have a foot frozen." She pouts and leans against the railing slightly, Lucien nods to the man and adjusts his belt.
-
He loaded a fresh mag into his rifle and motioned for the giant to follow. The corridor was dark only illuminated by flickering lights.
-
Despite his big frame... He was surprisingly quiet. He follows obediently, drawing his massive revolver and checking that it's loaded.
-
The marine held his hand up and slid to cover. There were two guards, cultists who were slumped against the door, sitting in pools of their own blood. "That's not a good sign."
-
"Want me to go first...?" Lucien offers, knowing full well he could handle some silly cultivate shit.
-
"Like hell in going to let some civilian breach first. On me." He moved to the door and checked the bodies, whoever did this wasn't a chaos cultist. Too elegant, too refined to be them. "Breach on my go. Three...two...one... Mark." The marine kicked the door in and cleared the room, bodies of cultists were everywhere, some were piles of flesh and blood others were largely intact. All had looks of Horror and fear on their face. The technology in the room itself was a bust, damaged by the fighting. "Shit."
-
"Civilian...?" Lucien was too busy mulling over the fact that he just got called a civie. Besides, bodies weren't anything new to him. "Well... Our job was easy."
-
"What the hell did this?" There was a crash behind some of the ruined equipment, and the marine tracked it with his rifle, he approached cautiously but a eerie whispering could be heard. A shadowy substance was growing behind it. It's presence began to cause fear to all those in the room.
-
"A permission to make room go boom, Sir Lord Captain Not a Civilian the Third?!"
-
"Uh, yeah let's get the hell out of here." He said as he primed a charge. "Ten seconds, let's move."
-
"Nah, Boss Man. Ten is too much." Lucien chuckles as he opens fire, his revolver firing bullets the size of grenades that explode into a dazzling array of blue and red. He walks backwards, firing off all eight shots until the room is up in smoke. "See? Loud."
-
"What?" He shouted as his ears rang. "You're going to have to speak up, some asshole didn't let me put my earpro on. Come on, I think it's gone let's get out of here while we can."
-
"Damn humans..." Lucien dashes back the way he came, his metal boots slamming against the hallway floor.
-
The marine shook his head and detonated his charge as they left. It destroyed what little there was left of the room. He followed the giant, little did the two know the darkness left the room when they did. It would grow elsewhere.
