Greetings, pilots!
Earlier today, the folks at Respawn did a Q&A on the official Titanfall twitter. They answered a lot of our burning questions, and didn't beat around the bush. Without further ado, let's get into the information we gleaned from this Q&A!
- There will be a "technical test" like a beta
- Titanfall 2 does have the smart pistol, but "it has undergone changes"
- Some modes support 5 v 5, others support 8 v 8
- Titanfall 2 has "a lot more" weapons than Titanfall 1 and some old favorites return with "a fresh coat of paint".
- Bumper jumper and other control layouts return.
- Titanfall 2 runs on an overhauled Source engine
- The story takes place after TF1
- It won't require Windows 10 if you're playing on PC
- Sprinting and hitting the crouch will allow you to slide and will increase your speed
- Titanfall 2 will have clan support
- The "Softball" is a grenade launcher with six grenades, and it's useful against pilots and titans
- There's a weapon called the "L-Star", and it's a "rapid fire energy rifle"
- Titanfall 2 on PC will require Origin
- Titanfall 2 will have more dedicated servers than the first game had
That about wraps it up! If you guys saw anything else, give me a holler and I'll add it to the list.

Will there be any returning titans
-
They need to stop using the source engine it's outdated as -blam!- they should've went with Unreal or id Tech

That 'a lot more weapons' bit already tells me this game is gonna last a hell of a lot longer than Titanfall 1 did. That was really one of the only major problems with the first game, it just didn't have enough content to keep itself going.

I hope titanfall 2 becomes the "Assasin's creed 2" of the series, were the sequel improved every single thing about the game with no backtracks. Is still published by EA so we all know it's gonna have issues.

I like this overhaul.. and I'm looking forward to seeing what that clan support is all about.

Source engine? Really?
