are any good games from the era of the PS2, Gamecube and Xbox or earlier.
I'm tired of hearing about these HD remakes of games that really don't need it.
Agree? Don't? Tell OP to go fck himself? Toss salt and call heathen?
I don't care. What's your take?

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic I & II should both get remakes. 2 of my top 10 games of all time.
-
The Jak & Daxter series from PS.

Edited by RübblyRanch: 6/17/2016 8:07:28 AMPlz I want the CoD classic for PS4
-
I'd love to see a hd remake of all the command and conquers pre tiberium wars.
-
Agree
-
Give me an HD Fusion Frenzy and Metroid Prime and I'll be happy. Newer games shouldn't get the treatment, it's a shitty practice at money grabbing

There are many good games, but few really great iconic games. So it's cool for the fans to play them again with updated graphics ect. Plus it let's people play a game they heard soo much about but never actually played. I think remasters are great. They're normally done by smaller, lesser known Dev teams too. So I don't think the idea that we're missing out on a game because of the remaster is completely accurate.

Edited by TonyPartridge30: 6/16/2016 3:40:50 PMRemakes and remasters are unnecessary. The only time I consider them is if I never played on the original platform and the original platform is hard to come by. Like, I wouldn't get a remastered 360 game for the One when I still own my 360.
-
Disagree. Remasters are great for those who never played the original, and would like the best and most up to date version on the newest console. They aid developers with extra revenue without spending an enormous amount of manpower. Additionally, these remasters (contrary to some absurd popular belief) do not hinder progress on a developer's main game(s). Usually they are done outside of the house, by a 3rd party affiliate. The power of choice is a great thing. Why argue and try to dissuade people from not purchasing remasters?

Not a big fan of remakes but im even less of a fan of digging out an old system to play a game... Id like to see morrowind come to backcompat for x1 tho...it could happen
-
I don't care for remakes at all, I'd rather either a reboot or sequel in the series. If I want to play the original I can boot up that system, switch the input on my TV and play it. For those that don't have it, we'll that sucks.

Back again - old
I'd rather see new games or current gen sequels. I don't really care about remastered this or that. I mean, what, are they out of ideas or something? -
I'm hyped for the crash bandicoot remaster.

Edited by Tartan 118: 6/16/2016 12:59:39 PMEvery game of the 7th generation besides anything on Wii was HD anyway.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom HD remake for PS4. Take ALL my money.
-
I think the remakes should be considered on a case by case basis.
-
I'll cast my support to the case by case basis camp. I am excited for skyrim because I really enjoyed the game, but I'd be even happier if it was Morrowind. I'd also like to see Mass Effect and Bioshock just because I enjoyed them so much. I'm curious about Batman because of the updated engine but I don't really think it's necessary at the same time. Now, going back like op said, I'd love to see the star wars rogue squadron games, metroid prime, the first 2 socom games, kotor, and a few others.
-
Star Wars Battlefront done right, not the shit EA gave us.
-
You know what needs a super duper remaster or reboot? Skies of Arcadia. *drops mic*
-
I just want my Final Fantasy 7 remake :P
-
I'm keen for the Skyrim remaster, looks better than any mods I've managed to find for the PC version + I can play on my couch with a controller and chatting to friends!
-
I hate hearing "HD remaster" of games that were in HD. I don't mind skyrim because they had already done it to get used to fallouts engine, it's not like they rebuilt it from the ground up they are mostly doing bug fixes probably

The TimeSplitters trilogy is in a dire need of an HD remake. Hopefully the fan made TimeSplitters Rewind that is currently in development will show Crytek that TimeSplitters is still popular. R.I.P. Free Radical, you gave us one of the greatest arcade FPS franchises ever!!!
