I want you to be honest guys. None of this macho 'I am my own man societal expectations can screw it' bullshit.
For example, as a homosexual male, I know it is expected for me to be various things. A) to adhere to the physical traits of a porn star (yes this is true, if you don't believe me look on Grindr at the emphasis everybody puts on them having a six pack or a massive dick. And I mean everybody, not just the 'asshole jock' types who do it in the hetero world. In some ways it can be at least if not more objectifying than how straight females are expected to look). B) being promiscuous by default and up for NSA at a moment's notice. Like, it's not considered that slutty to sleep with a new person every week.
I have a problem with these expectations because although I do have a fairly non-terrible body by today's standards, I don't wish to be a cumdump (technical term right there), yet it feels like I may have to be if I want to get anywhere meaningful with a guy later on.
I mean that's just homosexuality but there's a ton of expectations society puts on people and I'm interested to know which ones affect you the most.
Do you feel you need to be the epitome of success and be earning thousands of dollars a month?
Do you feel you need to get married and have kids in order to 'make it' in life?
Oh look an intelligent topic. Watch this bomb because it actually requires effort to answer.

I don't wish to be a cumdump
Slightly gross but I can kinda see your point. Speaking to the few gay people I know and they have pretty much said the same things as you. One of them showed me grinder one day and it literally just seems like a web site full of horney men who only want to bang. Social conventions are stupid and I don't follow them which would probably put me as an outcast or come across as rude because I don't think/act the way others do. I don't understand why people can't just act or enjoy the things that they actually like rather than just following the herd.
