The forces had already begun returning to the bloodwrath, why back there, for the sake of plot and thread continuity. Back on the ship, Ling found Macha waiting for him. She had reverted to her original shape, and was anxiously waiting for his return. Once she saw him, she ran to hug him, careless of those around them.
"Dearest! You're alive!"
She tightly hugged him. Very tightly.

He hugged back. "I was worried about the same thing Macha. I am glad we are both alive." He said, smiling after. "We should head back, then perhaps we can 'Talk'..."
-
"Yes, perhaps some privacy would be best for us both." She smiles. They had earned it, as this had been a long day. And celebration was appropriate for the situation.
-
He held Machas hand as they walked to the Warp portal. "So I nearly died today. Bolter hit my shield dead on while I was standing on a tank. Thankfully I didn't fall." He said as they walked. "I can't imagine your side was any prettier."
-
"Oh, it was brutal. Slaanesh never stood a chance. Not like he deserved one, though." She smiles too. "I never thought this was possible. Finally, my race is free from fear. No more will we need our soul stones. No more will we need the Infinity Circuits. Children will be born without fear for their souls, for their survival. But we will not make anymore mistakes. We have learned our mistake. We have learned humility, or at least I hope we have... though I doubt Eldrad learned anything, though, the bastard..."
-
"This Eldrad you mention sounds like a dick." He said as they eventually made it to the portal. "So, here we are..back to the bloodwrath.."
-
"We should get back to your quarters, Inquisitor... for a little Celebration..." Macha smirked, biting her lower lip. "... that is, if you're up for it..."
-
He had that look in his eyes, it was a small gleam. "Yes, my love." He said grinning.
-
Her smirk turned to a grin. "Let us get going, then..."
-
"Let's." He said, as they walked through the portal and through the Grove a bit they reached the Inquisitors Quarters in which the power armor released from his body, revealing the normal Inquisition attire.
-
Macha, after returning to her normal form, was wearing a casual dress, white and green, the colours of her craftworld. She had a beautiful ornate pendant around her neck, a new item that Ling had never seen before.
-
"May I ask what the pendant is?" He said, Inquisitively.
time for some l.a.noire shit. jk.
-
She smiles, cradling the pendant in her hand. "My mother crafted it for me, long ago. She finished it only recently. Within it is a soulstone that contains the souls of our ancient, fallen gods. A memento, of sorts, to our past." The medallion was quite big, but not too big. Just right. It's colours were beautiful, as was its craftsmanship. Within the center rested a large stone of purple colours, and all around it were smaller stones, of various different colours. They all shined with energy.
-
"That is rather..nice." He said, though he felt a bit sad. He never talked about family much.
-
She could see the sadness in his eyes. She had come to know him well these last days. "Ling... do you have any family?"
-
"Yes..but-" He did not finish the sentence. "Alright, I only have one member alive that is not me, my sister. She works as a Rogue Trader. So she's Emperor only knows where."
-
"I see... how do you feel about her?"
-
"It's..mixed feelings. Rogue Traders are basically legalized pirates set under certain conditions. Alot of people generally dislike them, even if they find other planets for the Imperium. I honestly don't really like them. But my sister chose that..so can't really argue." He said.
-
"Well... I'm sure she had her reasons. Perhaps someday I could meet her." She holds his hands. "I don't have much for family, I'm afraid... I was left an orphan when I was little. My father was, well, smashed into tiny bits, and my mother was made prisoner. No siblings... that's why I've always dreamed of having children. To take care of them in a way my parents were never able to."
-
He went a step further and hugged her. "It is a big step, but I don't know. If we ever get off this ship I can only hope they can have a future."
-
"I have hope too..." She hugged him back. "Do they have any alcohol in here?"
-
"Alcohol? To be honest, none that I know of." He said. "Never really tried alcohol."
-
"I see... I thought perhaps drinks could ease us with the Celebrations but..." She made her fingers dance along his back. "I need you fully conscious for tonight..."
-
"Hm..I don't see why not." He shrugged off the black overcoat with ease, revealing the black undershirt. His muscles were lean, he looked pretty built but not that of say a Space Marine.
-
She ran her hands across his muscles, feeling them. She smirked. "My oh my... is this really happening?"
-
"Perhaps..Do you truly want this?" He told her, in a mere whisper.
