I know what you're thinking that my opinion is. "Throwing Knives 2 OP needed n3rfing".
No. No, no, no , no , no and no.
Seriously, why Bungie? What was the need. I can even list some reasons why you've just made a massive c0ck-up.
1. Throwing Knives rewarded a skillful aim.
2. They have a rather long cool down.
3. They rarely OHKD as the most ran the precision perk.
4. They were the Gunslingers only counter to other classes longer range melees.
5. It felt rewarding to land a clutch throwing knife.
If these aren't the best reasons I apologise. I'm sure you can list some better ones below.
I just can't understand the logical side of the persons brain who decided that throwing knives were unbalanced? If you had to you could have just removed the incendiary knife...
Seriously, now I'm worried for shoulder charge, despite the range of the Stormcaller melee.
For proof that the Stormcaller melee is bad just watch Nkuch's latest video where he melees someone on Black Shield from past the OHK range of a Party Crasher.
Just know this hunters, we feel you.
Edit: For those complaining that I am biased against warlocks I am not. I just have my views on their melees. Purely my opinion. I don't really want to see nerf posts on here either.

Crybabies were just pissed off that people with actual skill were killing them in crucible, that's why the throwing knifes are dead
-
Oh yeah, that sweet sweet feeling when you landed a throwing knife headshot and you watch the victim backflip onto the ground and your melee charge immediately refills. Oh baby that's sweet
-
too be honest if i hit you in the head with a precision hit you deserve to die how is this overpowered when sinsingers get scorch shield ON HIT
-
Rip: throwing knife. You will be missed.
-
As another titan main I agree, throwing knives didn't need to be changed. IMO they should get changed back to how they were. Also trip mines could be annoying but again, I had no issues with them and they also should be changed back.
-
What u have said is so true. Throwing knives or even tripmines dint need a nerf. The gunslinger subclass was balanced. Now there is no reason for me to use throwing knives when bullets can do the job.
-
As a Titan Striker main I agree. The throwing knife nerf was uncalled for.
-
Titan main and both trip mines and throwing knives never bothered me. If you died from a trip mine it was either well placed or you just got outplayed. Take your death and move on. Seriously trip mines are easy to avoid with that huge red beacon glowing everywhere.
-
Thank you sir we should have you run BUNGIE you clearly have more logic. Throwing knives and tripmines were my favorite part of this game....ahhh now I know why I've barely played since the update.
-
I truly don't understand the need to change throwing knives. I don't understand how burn was a problem when hunters actually have to choose burn over knife juggler. I don't understand why they keep making bad decisions.
-
Out of my two years of Destiny I think I've been killed by throwing knives 3 times. Why they got nerfed is beyond me (this is coming from someone with 3 warlocks). They did not need a nerf, nor did trip mines.
-
Both throwing knives and trip mines were fine.
-
I honestly am surprised not many people use them honestly. Remember how common they were in COD?
-
If someone gets me with throwing knife , I will appreciate , IDK why people cry about it lol
-
I am actually glad your sunbreakers got buffed for the most part. In the time I played as a titan I did feel how underpowered the hammers were.
-
Either nerf shoulder charge or buff throwing knife back.
-
As a Bladedancer I just want to say I'm against any nerfs to Strikers (always thought of us as two sides of the same coin). They way they ruined our mobility, blink-ready up time as well as cooldown with this patch, makes me fear for your Titan-skating. Bungie doesn't know how to listen or balance they nerf things into the ground and then see what floats up and do it all over again. No one complained about Gunslingers or Bladedancers.
-
The way I see it, if I get killed by throwing knife, The kid gets respect.
-
As a Striker Titanas well I feel the same way. I can count on one hand how many times I have been killed by the throwing knife. I guess one of Bungies developers were "godlike" with the throwing knives so they had to be nerfed. (remember that was excuse for the nerf to fusions in year 1 if I remember correctly.) Also I don't understand the Tripmine nerf either. I hate nerfs to begin with. I honestly think ALL nerfs should be reversed. At this point in the game with all the different weapons and different perks there would be nothing OP because there would be a weapon to counter. Same with the supers. Just my opinion though.
-
From a gunslinger main since beta, thank you friend Titan. A well spoken and well thought out response.
-
If anything nerf the stormcaller melee. That thing hits from like 4 meters away! THAT CRAPS BROKEN! O-o
-
The Hunter throwing knife nerf was a real kick in the dick
-
Warlocks " I hate shoulder charge it's so cheap " Hunters " I hate warlocks and their blink it dodges my throwing knife " Titans " I hate hunters and their throwing knife I am about to shoulder charge them then sink ( one knife in my head )
each class is trying to Nerf the other

accept it each class is better then the other in its own way
-
It really does make them pointless because the time it takes to throw a knife is silly in comparison to pumping out 2 hacksaw bursts. Why throw a knife when I can do more damage in less time with my primary?
-
A ramlocks view on throwing knives: THEY DO NOTHING! HAHAHA
-
I have to agree here. I main a Titan while I do have 330+ Hunter/Warlock in my arsenal. For a Hunter to OHK with a knife prior to the unnecessary nerf, it meant it was a pretty skilled player. In comparison to any number of other OHK abilities out there, the knife had absolutely NO reason to be nerfed. There are far too many Nerfketeers in this community that are ruining the experience of the game. Buff it all, I say. Give the players options to use whatever they want and let the chips fall where they may. These pointless cries for nerfs remind me of my days playing Quake - same weapons, same damage, same TTK, same everything and ya know what? People still got p0wned. Know why? Because it matters NOT how good you are, what weapons you use, how much you cry, whine, or complain, there will ALWAYS be someone better than you. I have been running Mida and gotten owned by someone running a blue hand cannon. I ran DoP and have been destroyed by someone running NLB at AR ranges. At the same time, I have run Mida and gone on a 2.5kd match and have pulled almost 3kd with DoP. You cannot win every match and own every single lobby. You are going to lose battles. Some games you will lose most and others you will lose only a few. These are the realities of the game. Repeated nerfing only hurts the experience and forces all of these unique little blueberry snowflakes to herd together on the same eq because they feel they can still be "competitive." Let it go - enjoy the game, ride the highs and forget the lows - it all ebbs and flows. And for GOD's SAKE - STOP CRYING FOR NERFS!!!! That's it. I'm done. Thanks for reading.
