You say all of this as if it was completely destroyed, which it wasn't. It only lost 10% of its damage, which basically makes it impossible to one hit with the incendiary knife on low armor targets. It can still do pretty much everything it did before the change, bar the one shot kills. This was a change that should be welcomed since it changed something that wasn't completely balanced while still keeping it viable.

Honestly, I have no idea why they didn't leave the regular knives alone, and make the incendiary knife have an impact penalty. Knives as a whole really aren't the issue, just the incendiary version. Even at that, I'm not certain why we are removing the consequence of making the life choice to have no armor. With tripmines, fire knives, and fire bolts all being cut down to size, does armor even factor in to pub play anymore, really? It's generally 10% or less of a health increase.

"Wasn't completely balanced". I'll tell you what isn't balanced. A melee that can out range a Party Crasher.

One hit a low armor guardian "low armor" not my problem. You don't want to get one shotted increase your armor. I had to when firebolts were killing me with one hit. -blam!-ing stupid. Now it's harder to kill high armor target guess I have to use flux or some other low skill level grenades since my trip mines had a delay and your dumb ass didn't slide threw my trip. Wait I can't even play this game since the whole game is bugged. -blam!- this shit

The thing is that some players just can't increase their armor instantly. For example, new players on low level characters. How enjoyable do you think it would be for them to be one hit by a throwing knife? Now, I know that not all new players are against people who use burn throwing knives, or even play Crucible at all, but it still helps them out and makes their experience more enjoyable.

So why should anyone be penalized I don't care if it's enjoyable for them, play more upgrade your guardian and get the -blam!- on. Why should I've left my gunslinger class the same since I finished upgrading it since 2014 launch. All of a sudden shit gets nerfed. GTFO

You're completely overreacting to this slight change. It's not like they reduced the aim assist of it at all, only a very small damage reduction. Tell me what you can no longer do with it due to the damage change and then I'll take you seriously.

It is hurting in pve. Can't get those ohk on low level adds

meanwhile a shoulder charge from a 3 tonne titan does more damage than a 12" flaming bowie knife to the forehead

It went from really good to viable.
