Something I've never understood is the continued effort to make the change to throwing knives all about shoulder charge. It makes me wonder "is everyone here stupid?". If you're going to at least talk about unbalanced melee, talk about stormcaller melee with amplitude. It has the same range as throwing knife, is an actual basic melee the same as throwing knife (where as shoulder charge is not) autolocks and hits instantly. Obviously it can't crit, but that's hardly a drawback. Surely I'm not the only person that sees this? For those that think throwing knives should 1 shot, you're an idiot. https://youtu.be/CHcYux-o1y0 That's why, bear in mind this was made when auto rifles were at their worst.

You're right, one hit throwing knife kills would be too much. That guy that you linked us to is the exception though, not the norm. That would be like calling for a No Land Beyond nerf after seeing kjhovey going on a tear with it. I'd also argue that he is like me and uses the steady stream of auto rifle bullets to more easily track head movement and "lead" the target. PS: Stop saying that the nerf doesn't make a difference to anyone. It made a difference to me. Have had a fair few enemies being left with a slither of health.

  • Well let's be real, you were trying to buy trade kills though.

  • No. I would have survived if the encounter ended with my throwing knife. The recovery time from throwing the knife is hard to overcome.

  • I've read your post, but I'm wondering whether you read the whole of my post. No disrespect for the effort you put into yours, but I did briefly mention the Warlock melee at the end, albeit without focusing on amplitude. In my eyes it's not in my interest to talk about it as this post is about throwing knives. If you feel it should be changed, make a post and I'll give it a check.

  • The fact is, the change to knives changes nothing in terms of they are used. None whatsoever. Nobody's approach to them is altered in any way. What people should be complaining about is how DOT damage is fked. You can't 1 shot people with incendiary grenades any more since they've managed to somehow reduce DOT damage on everything

  • As I've said before. The main factor in this argument is the confusion over where the nerf came from.

  • It's pretty clear to me why they did it. They don't want people to be 1 Shotted, they want people to not have to run max armour all the time. Hence, tripmine and knife nerf.
