My only gripe with the warlock melee (and I will admit I never play as one, because the jumps just infuriate me) is that it acts like a shotgun, but it has no downside. I would be a touch more comfortable with the range on the melee if there was a small damage fall off. Say at half range, it does full damage, beyond that, 10% less. Or 5% less. I feel that the skill of surviving into full damage range, or the risk of doing so should be rewarded, the lack thereof punished. But I main a hunter, so I'm in the dark on this a bit as well.
I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this. I am also in favor of damage falloff for throwing knives as well.
