I looked at him for a few more moments, before deciding fück it, we don't have time for this.
"Alright, Mortar, I've got a few more questions: where are we, what was that thing, and how did I get here?"
English
-
This is a huge ship called the Bloodwrath. But I'm not exactly sure what that thing was, reminded me of something from Doom, and I don't know how you got here.
-
I sighed. "Don't even know why I bothered. Look, is there a place I can find some actually sane people here, or are we the only two things not actively trying to kill everything in sight?"
-
There are people around here, but... there are many more crazy killing machines that see you as a top sirloin.

Edited by Kell in a Cell: 6/22/2016 5:39:02 PMI rubbed the bridge of my nose, already tired of this place. "And let me guess, item two is between us and item one, correct?" This was going to be a long day.
-
Yeah... Sorry about this, but you need a weapon. Take this. *He hands you what appears to be a simple silver dagger*
-
Edited by Kell in a Cell: 6/22/2016 9:29:42 PM... Well, that was ominous as fück. Still, what choice did I have? I eyed the knife warily, before taking it.
-
Yeah. It's nothing special, just a silver dagger, but it's better than nothing, you know?
-
I shook my head at that, letting the hand holding the knife fall. "Whatever. Let's just get the hell out of here before anything else shows up, or you drive me insane."
-
*Mortar sighs, then smirks a little, a thought popping into his head* You know I can always leave you to die.
-
"The hell do you want me to do, then?" I asked, honestly tired of this guy's games. Seriously, what did he expect? Me to just fawn over him like some shinning beacon of hope?
-
I want to see if you actually CAN fight a creature, not just run like usain bolt.
-
... Ok, this was getting weird. "How the hell do you know this stuff, anyway? First it was Doom, now it's Usain Bolt. The hell are you even from, anyway?"
-
I'm from Earth, just like you. South Jersey, to be exact
-
Well, that sure was helpful. Not. I sighed. "Can we just get going, now? Please?"
-
Yeah. We would have been gone by now, if I didn't have the decency to answer your questions. *Mortar looks around* Nonetheless, we aren't safe if we stay in one place too long
-
"On that, at least, we agree," I said. "Your lead."
-
Yeah, let's go. *Mortar walks through what appears to be a long hall, looking around or occasionally stopping because he thought he heard something*
-
Well, either this guy was insane, or had way better hearing than me. Both were equally likely at this point. Still, nothing bothered us for a good while. The halls were quiet save for our footsteps. Except when they suddenly weren't. Mortar motioned for me to stop, but I had already heard it: more of that blasted chanting.
-
Ah, shit. Well, this is really annoying. I mean, I will try to avoid it, but if shit goes down I gotta do what I gotta do. *Mortar holds his sword at the ready*
-
"Maybe we should see if we can sneak past them first." I said, really hoping to avoid a fight. If push came to shove, I wasn't very confident in my skill with a knife.
-
That's what I'm trying to do. Now stay quiet, follow me, and speak only when spoken to, okay? *Mortar takes an icy blue knife off his back and walks slowly, ready for an attack*
-
Well, nothing for it. I kept close behind as we snuck around the cultists, doing my best to ignore the way their chanting made my head pound.
-
*Mortar looks at you a moment, noticing that the headache is beginning to get to you. He hands you something small, it seems to be a strip of Trident gum. He signs to you* Chew, it helps.
-
Screw it, why the hell not? I popped it in my mouth soundlessly. Minty.
-
*Mortar nods as he silently looks around a corner, his knife emitting a cold mist*
