The scribbles were strange, irregular, and each had different handwritings. It seemed this book was passed on from person to person, and each had left mementos of their time, with notes and such.

"Interesting.... This seems to be a book that's been passed down... Maybe from Tulleeshs father?" She tries to read some of the script.
-
The various handwritings all had one thing in common, however. They were all written in a script that Monica was unable to read. It was a puzzling alphabet... it made no sense to her.
-
"What.... Must be Tulleeshs native language.. This must be very personal." She quickly closes it, and puts it down, feeling intrusive.
-
As she goes to put it down, her hand feels another book... it felt cold, strange, eerie... it was hidden underneath the others.
-
That book she had just held was just scratching the surface she felt. "Oh my..." She picks up the new one.
-
It was buried, so she had to dig through some tomes to find it. As she uncovered it... it was horrific. A morbid tome, bound in human leather, adorned in bones and human hairs. Simply approaching her hand was enough to cause her entire body to feel unease. She heard distant screams in the back of her mind...
-
Her parents, especially her dad had taught her how to bear stuff like this. He had taught her how to bar her mind. She grits her teeth and sets it down, opening it.
-
Before she could even touch the book, a strong hand grabbed her wrist, stopping her completely. "Do. Not. Touch. That." Tulleesh."
-
She began shaking, she slowly looks over. "I'm.... I'm sorry.." He sounded... Extremely angry.
-
He stood, towering over her. He was frowning heavily. Around his neck, he had a chain she had never seen before. "What are you doing?"
-
She was scared, she had never seen him like this. She noticed the necklace. "I was just.... What... What is that necklace..."
-
"Don't change the subject. What were you doing." He crosses his arms, staring her squarely.
-
"I was... I just... You're always so secretive with your books and stuff... And I just... Wanted to take a look. I'm sorry. It wasn't my stuff to look through.." She says, looking down.
-
"You're right. It wasn't yours to look through. I'm secretive with my books because they are things you wouldn't understand. You have no idea what would have happened of you had touched that tome..."
-
She couldn't bare to look at him. She nods, stepping away quickly, still not making eye contact. "I'll just... Go..."
-
"No. You most likely came here for a reason other than to look through my things, so go ahead."
-
"I just... Wanted to ask if you wanted to have dinner." She said quietly.
-
He sighs. "Why not. Haven't eaten proper food in a week."
-
She smiles. "Alright... You want to go right now or... Just wait a while.."
-
"I dunno. You got a place in mind?"
-
"I heard there was a good restaurant down in the commons..." She says.
-
"Alright then... let's go."
-
She smiles. "Alright..." She walks over to him and takes his hand.
