In the bowels of the Bloodwrath, a violet purple portal opens near the ground. From the swirling portal came a massive, metal door, foot, along with a part of a robotic, metal keg. Then, a hulking figure steps through with a loud, heavy clank as its metal feet hit the metal ground. It was a mech, and it stood at fifteen feet tall. Its right arm was more of a massive gun, or well, two guns; a fizzling plasma cannon, and a chaingun. Its left arm was unarmed, though it did have a robotic hand, currently clenched into a fist. The mech's head looks around the room they ended up in, and started walking off into a faintly lit hallway, though the mech's pilot didn't mind the lighting; he had been in darker areas, after all. The mech didn't run into anyone, or anything. It was kinda boring, really; and the pilot thought so too, as was evident by a bored, metallic sigh, and a male voice speaking through the mech's speakers, "Kinda boring so far... Had hoped for something to happen. Eh, spooky hallways are interesting enough, I guess.. Not as fun as seeing a completely new foe though..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ General Quarters | 12:34PM After a long, uneventful, and plain boring walk, the mech steps around the corner, getting a face full of bright light, and the view of a camp, further ahead. The mech speeds up, its loud steps thundering through the hallway, echoing off the walls as he hurries over. Then, he leaps through the doorway, landing on the outer edges of the General Quarters. Then, he just.. Stopped. Stood still. Watched. Waited, for what? Who knows..
Mute. And anyone who seriously, really badly wants to reply.
• At the time, Kolandra had been positioned on the outskirts of the camp. She had been deep in meditation, surfing and riding through the waves of her own thoughts, silently watching over the camp's residents like an unseen guardian. It was peaceful, in a way, despite the fact that they were all on board an unspeakable behemoth of a vessel hurtling through the chaotic currents of the Warp. But anyway, she preferred being on the camp's edge like this. It gave her a good view of the surrounding, while also separating her from the prying eyes of the narrow-minded and naïve. The warlock's deep state was rudely and abruptly halted by the arrival of the mech. She had almost felt it coming, but singling out distinct noises was proving difficult to her; there were thousands of souls within this demonic construct, and she was certain that many of them were not souls at all, but rather the sadistic voices of demons that writhed and schemed within the walls. Did I say it was peaceful? Well, it was to an onlooker, but in the mind of a psyker, it was nothing but disorder. As soon as she heard the mech's clanging loud arrival, Kolandra readied her witchblade and ended her state of peace to go and confront the new arrival. She didn't sense a tainted soul within (a rather resilient soul, actually), but you don't have to be tainted to cause trouble. Walking over to where the towering construct was convenient standing still, she looked up to face the metallic biped and addressed the pilot. "State your intention here, Human"

  • The pilot hadn't even seen her, so he was rather surprised when he was addressed, evident by the loud 'Wha?!' that came from the mech's speakers. The mech then tilts forwards a little as it looks down at the Warlock. Then, the mech's left hand raised into the air, and it... Waved? Yes, it waved. With an open hand. Left to the right, and to the left again. Then the gentle voice of a man replied, "Hmm? Oh, hello! I don't really have business here, besides, y'know... Safety and stuff. I mean, the other places in this ship are rather... Unpleasant. Very unpleasant. And I just kinda stumbled upon this place. Luckily. It looks pretty... Safe, I guess."

Still looking up, Kolandra let our a small sigh of relief. Though she was used to seeing tall 15-foot bipeds in battle now, the sight still made her a little uneasy. Seeing such a thing before her made Kolandra have brief flashbacks to her young days in which she was terrified of wraithlords. It hadn't helped that they were technically piloted by the dead either. Thankfully though, this mech didn't seem intent on killing everything within an unreasonably large radius of itself. But, she could sense the life within. Reassuring, I guess. "Well then, seeing as you're here to protect rather than destroy, would you be so kind as to step out of this construct of yours, so I can get a clearer look at you?"

  • If she was indeed reading his soul, she would also see, probably, I dunno how souls work, that he was actually rather kind and peaceful. Energetic, and even childish at times. He could be very violent, but he didn't kill for fun. Instead, he would always kill with a reason. A viable reason. Nothing like "oh mah gerd, they're not human! KILL KILL KILL!" "I guess it is kinda rude for me to still be in this thing... Because, well... Always talk face to face if you can.. Coming out now, don't get startled." There was a loud hiss, and the mech lowered itself a bit as the shoulder pauldrons tilt forwards, and parts of the back, the arms, and the legs fold out. Then, a soft thud was heard as something hopped out the back, and hit the ground. Then soft footsteps as the pilot walked around the mech to the front. And with another footstep, the pilot stepped into view. What Kolandra would see was an armoured and tall bundle of muscle, though the head was uncovered. The man has hazel brown eyes, which were laid slightly further back than normal. He has very sharp, lengthy cheekbones, and a stark jawline. He's in general pretty fücking hot tbh. He has a short stubble on his chin, and along his jaw. He has short brown hair, which was currently cooked to his forehead with sweat - from the sprint to the General Quarters. "Name's Lucas, by the way. Lucas Fandango."

"huh. Pleasure to meet you, Lucas..." She wasn't entirely sure how humans met each other when friendly, or rather her memory of such things were just a little fuzzy. Did they even do anything? Did they shake hands, or something like that? Rather than dwelling, Kolandra instead thought it best to give a light bow.

"Pleasure is all mine, dear." The man was amused that the woman bowed instead of shaking hands or waving, but he didn't say anything about it, and instead just bowed back, though his was deeper and a bit more like an... Official one. "May I know your name? It would only be fair.." The man grins.

  • "are you referring to the stern confrontation? Or the rather awkward bow, I must admit..." She blushed a bit under her helmet. It truly was quite an awkward thing to do towards an otherwise total stranger. Eldrad probably would've laughed at her juvenility.

"The stern confrontation. It caught me rather... Off guard. And the bow was unexpected, but not that awkward. I just went with it, as you probably noticed." The man grins, his brilliant hazel brown eyes shining with childlike curiousity. "But I'm not gonna question it..."

  • The warlock raised an eyebrow under her helmet and tilted her head to one side in confusion. "well, I didn't really think that 'gesture' needed clarification. You're Human, and I'm Eldar. Our races aren't exaclty good at practising hospitality towards each other. The imperium see us as arrogant and random, while the Craftworlds see you as unnecessarily violent and naïve. I think we can both recount far more times in which both our kinds were at odds rather than evens. I confronted you because that is what I've been taught to do through my elders. They are more wise than me, so I had no reason to oppose"

  • The curiosity in his eyes was very quickly replaced with confusion. "Uhm... Eldar? Dunno what those are. And the Imperium are the military edgelords, right? I'm not exactly from around here... Only aliens I know are Arachnids. Fücking bugs... And I'm not violent or naïve! At least, I don't think I am... Though humanity itself is pretty violent and naïve, I mean, we did have lots and lots of wars with ourselves alone."

  • The tilted head remained. "... How are you not aware of the Eldar? Does the imperium truely keep that much from you? Where are you even from?"

  • "I don't even really know what the Imperium is. I really only know that they're a military force, and apparently the least evil. Though your words make me doubt that... And I'm from a different place..."

  • "A different dimension... you might have to be more specific". There was doubt in her voice. Or maybe it was suspicion.

"I don't know if my home place has a name... I come from earth though. So... There's that, I guess..." The man shrugs. He really didn't know how to specify.
