Striker is not op at all. After the last "patch", shoulder charge is op! If they have a one shot, uncharged insta-kill, my throwing knife should one shot to the head. Shoulder charge has the ability to lock onto a target making it stupid easy to use. Throwing knife does not track and requires genuine skill and practice to use! They also over nerfed solar nades!

Knives have aim assist. They were fine before the patch. GS was the most balanced subclass in the game.
-
Coming from a gun slinger and with 1000+ throwing knife kills. Throwing knifes will curve Sometimes when the enemy try's to get away.
-
I know. Tell this kid CheckeredKarma that.
-
Your an idiot! Throwing knives travel on a straight path. They dont curve in mid air or seek out targets. They have to be aimed.
-
It's aim assist. If you want to see what no aim assist is like, try hitting your teammates vs hitting opponents.
-
The aim assist your feeling is the pull from whatever weapon you have readied. If you throw a knife, it does not change direction in mid-air!
-
But if it is from the reticule aim assist from the weapon in hand, then it should stop during those few frames when your avatar is throwing the knife.
-
And I'm not saying they seek targets, but they do curve a slight amount towards enemies.
-
I'm sorry, bud, but coming from an experienced Gunslinger, have you even played the game? You need to open your eyes. and it's *you're an idiot
-
Im a day one gunslinger. Your throwing knife doesn't have a reticle, therefore there is no way for there to be any aim assist other than after you throw it. For there to be aim assist, the knife would have to change trajectory in mid air and seek out the enemy. Which it cannot do. Any aim assist you may "feel" comes from your weapon.
-
Google "Destiny Throwing Knife Aim Assist" or ask like anyone else on the forum. It curves very slightly towards enemies in mid-air. Plus there's a huge hitbox.
-
Strafing to the side when you throw it gives the appearance of curving, but it doesnt. Google "optical illusions!

Edited by SenXXII: 6/23/2016 3:23:08 PMThrowing knife aim assist is a thing. Multiple times I've been hit and have hit people who weren't even too close to my knife and it's usually a headshot. That or a big hitbox
-
Alright. I can't convince you here so I'm just going to stop arguing. Not backing down, it's just there's nothing I can do to make you see my point.
-
Knifes have aim assist. the knifes would not curve like that otherwise.

I find it funny how I see tons of complaints for the hunter nerfs but no one mentions warlocks grenade issue. First off, our "extra damage" is a broken perk. Which... that's what sunsingers are, we 'nade people.
I kinda like the hunter changes - been playing as it more
-
If you read all my replies, i have stated many a times that solar nades were overnerfed! I dont want them to nerf shoulder charge. However, it is unbalanced now. So either buff solar nades and throwing knife or nerf shoulder charge!
-
I think buff is the way to go, not to tear down Shoulder charge to garbage - and sorry, I thought you were referring to hunter grenades. Definitely needing a fix though, sunsinger isn't useless, but it's very inconsitent now. In the current state solar grenades definitely should be able to stack on damage - if I have 5 in a pile and you stand in the middle, usually you only receive damage from one grenade.
-
Throwing knife has the best auto aim I have seen And the only problems with SC is its ability to adjust height and for a OHK it should burn the melee charge
-
Um...throwing knives have a VERY large hitbox but very small amounts of aim assist.
-
Maybe that's it then...always felt like it was way too easy to get those head shots
-
Auto aim? have you ever used throwing knives?
-
All of year 1 and up until HoW...they have insane AA...most if the reason why people can get long kill streaks with them If they lost that since HoW then ok...but they were like magnets in Y1
-
It still is. They will never admit that though.
-
If you hit someone, with full health and shields with a throwing knife, in the head, its not a kill and it should be!
