My grip tightens, I relish this moment as I breathe in deeply, and upon the exhale I pull as hard as I can. Screaming erupts, and I draw upon my superhuman strength to pull harder, but all the while taking my time to savor the situation. Bloodlust is on my tongue, and adrenaline is my blood. Fury and rage is my house, and revenge is my doorstep. I pull harder still. Suddenly, I hear muscle tear, and the screaming becomes a piercing nightmare of panic and pain. Provoked and excited I finish the job, and tear the Dreg's arms clean out of socket. The Dreg falls forward not being able to stand any longer, and it's shrieking madness halts. I grin within my helmet, and toss the severed Dreg arms to either side. I wait a few minutes for the Dreg to awaken from a pain that he believed would never again occur in his life.
It took longer than I thought, but he did wake back up. I let him writhe on the ground momentarily before picking him up by the back of the neck, spinning him around, and shoving him backwards against a large rock. I let him stagger back up on his feet, and that's when he ran. I let him run, and I grinned to myself once more before slowly stalking after him. He'll lead me exactly where I want to go, so please show me where your Captain is stupid Dreg.
After many false stops, the Dreg unknowingly leads me to a large grouping of Vandal, and surely enough the Captain as well. I maneuver into a better vantage point, line up my shot, and throw two grenades. They erupt in a brilliant display of fire, stream back quickly in a line, and erupt several times on three Vandals. Two of them get burnt seriously before diving out of the fire, while the third falls to my trap. It's a pity he didn't live for the sake of my enjoyment as I lurch forward to punch his burnt brethren to death. The remaining eight Fallen holler out of shock, and the fight really begins.
I dodge several tracking shots, taunting them, and peppering their extremities with auto rifle fire. Suddenly, a Line Rifle shot catches my shield on the shoulder, staggering me, and igniting my hatred for their filth. Like a fire on dry tinder, I drop two Vandals and a Dreg with sharp determined precision, and strafe past the next shot from the Line Rifle. The next Dreg gets knocked cold by the stock of my weapon, and I switch to my shotgun as I close the gap to another Vandal. Punching his gun to the side I put the barrel of my shotgun to his chest, and pull the trigger. Another shot passes, and the Captain confronts me, but I slide past him towards the Vandal sniper. The Vandal drops his sights to run, but I shoot his right leg, cock in the next shell, shoot his left leg, cock my weapon one more time, and blast his head clean off. The armless Dreg is behind a barrel cowering, but I ignore him to turn towards my prize.
My hand reaches out, my hammer appears ablaze, and ready to strike. The Captain brandishes his Arc blades, and approaches me with a bloodlust I can admire. It doesn't last long for him as I batter his blades to the ground leaving him staggered and weak. I drop my hammer, roll forward while picking up his Arc blade, and lunge forward burying the blade hilt-deep in his chest. He looks me in the eye as I slowly reach up, and rip-free his Ether tubing to watch him suffocate. The life drains from his eyes, and I release him so I can stand. I look to the barrel where the armless Dreg is cowering, and walk away to my next objective never looking back.
