More importantly, Titan's lightning grenades are a problem. Bungie nerf things based on popularity. How is trip mine op than lightning nade? How was arc bolt op than firebolt in year one? Bungie's incompetence to truly analyze a problem is op. Lightning grenade-Not only it has a vertical range, it has a cone shaped radius with crazy range.

Lightening grenades have already been nerfed about a year ago I think. They used to be really OP. Bungie is developing a habit of nerfing things that don't need it. Trip mines were fine they were and this comes from a Titan main.
-
From a Titan, trip mine and throwing knife nerfs were completely unnecessary... I don't play hunter much, but from being on the receiving end, I never felt it was over powered. If someone throws a mine and it sticks to my forehead, I expect to die. I hope they undo that nerf for you guys. Most of the community agrees.
-
Honestly I didn't even see a single complaint about trip mines. What Bungie doesn't realize is its not the grenades, it's the armour and perks that makes it op. For example, lucky rasp- grenade every round, two trip mines, Viking funeral touch of flame( got this right), two lightning grenades. I don't see how blade dancer was any different than storms trance they are equally powerful. Blade Didn't need anymore nerf.

They say they go by that graph and defender Titan was WAY below everything else. Defender is a boss subclass, you can't measure the entire subclass by k/d, that's just lazy.
-
And those stats are based off a time span of 3 weeks lol. And fluctuations are so random

Edited by twey_ironside: 6/23/2016 9:55:51 PMYou need to place them well. So many time they stick out at a weird angle. That's the difference to arc bolts. The trip mine nerf was completely unnecessary as was the throwing knives nerf.
-
I compared arc bolts to firebolt only. Just an example that it took them year in between to realize that they were both equally good; hence, if you are patching one, do the same with other
-
The thing about lightning nades is they can be destroyed. Your argument can be made against all static nades although you can only destroy 3 of them.
-
My argument is the range, specifically. I do not care how much damage and how many time they go off. Perhaps keep it consistent with other trap grenades
-
The cone being smaller i could deal with the dmg being knocked off would be too much.
-
Yeah that's why I said cone range. No need to nerf damage

Did I say anything about sticking? Read first IDIOT

Last IB playing control on Vertigo, running my Striker - toss a lightning grenade up the ramp into zone B, numbers flying everywhere, "Breaker" medal! Yay me! Granted, that team was apparently made up of at least 5 members of the cast of The Secret Lives of Pets, but I highly doubt that has ever happened with any other grenade. Don't like nerfs, just funny how willfully ignorant some of these turds are. Just outright deny when something is unbalanced. I've always been able to admit it and I love playing all classes.
-
Exactly. Its troubling that people will go on lengths to defend something that's clearly better than others. Or to just look cool. Either way it's toxic
-
Haha. I took out 4 people in that spot two days ago. The first two died on impact and then a few seconds later the other two dropped.
-
:() I hope they never learn...

Any DOT grenade would've killed them if they are to stupid to move off the zone. I rarely get killed by lightning grenades as soon as the first pulse hit just jump away. Also I got a breaker medal with a scatter grenade. I've gotten multi kills with many grenades. And one time an arc warlock wiped out 4 or 5 of us on a zone with arc web. There was no escaping those either at least the lightning nades give you a window to stay alive.

Edited by Waynard1724: 6/23/2016 10:03:59 PMIf you got a breaker with Scatter Grenades they were all previously damaged. This was at the very start of the match with all of the other team not having taken damage - they were just up each other's ass and very dense! I know other nades can get you multikills, but that felt pretty cheap to me. Again, not wanting a nerf. Striker has been my greatest source of joy in PvP all of yr2 so far, so honestly I'm surprised it didn't take a hit. That's usually how it works for me, and how I know it will be molested any day now. I'm no "main" anything. Only ran two characters for most of yr1 due to having a child, which restricted/replaced much of my game time, so my Titan was merely a storage unit. Love him so much now! Anyway, I'm saying I can look at all subclasses subjectively and a ton of other players I have talked to/played with all concur that Lightning Grenades are the best in the game.
-
They were all standing on a zone and I had bloom on.
-
I've always wondered if my Scatter Nades weren't bugged; half the time they don't even track even when I know they're close enough to the enemy, and even when they'd catch the full brunt, they just seemed to tickle them.
-
Yea it happens a lot and it's annoying.
-
See, why can't they focus more on fixing crap and less on manipulating playstyles and loadouts by trying to push their customers in the direction they choose?
-
I guess too many people complaining. And they can't have to many people using the same abilities or weapons even though those people have fun using them.
