He sighed as they patrolled down to the Mechanicus relic site.
Ling constantly checked his corners, making sure no Demon or other would get the jump on them.
It was a bit odd seeing how Ling was capable of himself, but still it wouldn't hurt to not be alone.

The Mechanicus signature took them deep within the ship, to its darkest corners. A lingering stench could be smelled, a constant feeling of unease and nausea enveloped the men. As they went deeper, so did their fear of something enormous attacking them.
-
At this point Ling was eyeing everything, not knowing what could exactly happen. He looked around, clearly on edge. Ling had his Psycannon slung on his back and his Hammer and Shield raised.
-
"We sense movement nearby, Inquisitor. In swarms. The insect Tyranid is nearby... we must hurry to the Mechanicus relic."
-
"Eugh, those freaks. But you are right, let's get going." Ling started to get his pace faster, he didn't have a Melta gun on him so he would be pretty useless against any Nids.
-
The screams of the bugs could be heard approaching, but they quickly reached the hallway that led to the Mechanicus chamber. But in the room just before, another massive room stood in their way. "Only a bit further!" But suddenly, through the metal floor of the room, a massive horror surged. A bio titan, the most fearsome creatures of the Tyranid hives. It roared powerfully towards the eleven men, it's roar bending the air around them like a shockwave. "Hurry! Get to the chamber! We will distract the beast!"

Edited by Anonymous: 6/24/2016 2:38:07 AMLing had no qualms running into the chamber, he wasn't going to die like an idiot facing a Bio Titan. He looked back at the ten marines as he ran across the chamber into the other. "Hold it off as long as you can!" He shouted over his Vox.
-
The sounds of the battle were then muffled by the doors closing behind Ling. He stood in an empty room, well, empty... Within it, he found the one thing that could most likely save his life right now. An imperial Knight.
-
Edited by Anonymous: 6/24/2016 3:16:07 AM"Holy shit." He said as he approached the Imperial Knight. "Wait, how the hell do I get in..?" He said, looking up to the Mech. He was confused. "I guess I just climb.." He said as he finally neared the right leg. "This will be perfect."
-
Shafts surrounded the mech, he had means to climb with ease. The Knight was armed with a heavy melta cannon and a plasma-infused chainsword. A heavy rocket pod was on it's back.
-
He started to climb the shaft, eventually making it to the top and onto the hatch. Ling, being the manly man he is used both of his own arms to open the hatch, it opening completely and he dropped in. "So..Guess you're going to be of use to me then?" He said to himself, placing himself upon the Throne Mechanicus.
-
The ancestral machine awakens at his command, although being centuries old, it was still working just as well.
-
The machine stomped forward, the Plasma Chainsword revving very loudly. It eventually made it to the chamber, firing it's Melta Cannon at the Bio-Titan. Clearly trying to get the jump on it.
-
Albeit much smaller than even the smallest of imperial titans, the Imperial Knight had the definitive advantage of speed. The bio titan, with its back facing Ling, never saw the attack coming.
-
"Holy fücking shit guys!- Oh wait you all are probably dead.." He said in the Knight. Ling ran forward and attempted to cut off one of the Titans legs, crippling it. He then fired more Melta shots into the Bio Titan.
-
This first surprise strike had the willed effect on the beast, it lost one of its limbs. The surprisingly resilient Ultramarines saw this as a rallying battle cry. "FOR THE EMPEROR!!!" They fought with courage and Unbreakable will, even though their weapons did little against the beast. The Melta from the gun burrowed against its thick chitin, but Ling had now caught the attention of the titanic being. With a whip of its tail, it struck the Imperial Knight, sending it back a ways.
-
The Knight was nearly flung, the metal on metal shrieking. "Now I have a good chance of dying." He said, deciding to unleash it's rocket pod into the Bio-Titan. They launched out of the pod, racing towards the Titan itself.
-
Having no real countermeasures against missiles on the account of being a dumb ugly bug, it was powerless to resist the onslaught of missiles crashing into it. It shrieked in pain as its body was covered in blood, but not dead yet. It shot its acidic slugs towards the knight, sizzling dangerously.
-
He tried to dodge some of the acidic shots, but one managed to hit the Knight dead on, but luckily Void Shields were still a thing and dispersed it.
Atleast that's what I think Knights use, they may use a different type of shielding though. Once again Warhammer plot Armor unintentionally saves me after researching Imperial Knights unless of course this one lacks shields then I'll just edit it.
The Inquisitor was amazed, he wasn't melted. He countered with more Melta shots, they went through the Titans chitin with ease.
-
The burning liquid-like texture of the melta spray burned through the chitin of the beast, landing almost entirely on its head. The head caved in and burned off, it was dead.
-
"This children is why you don't become a space bug." He said. "Anyone who is alive follow me! We're bringing this back!" Ling said enthusiastically
-
The squad, still in one piece, followed out the Imperial Knight out of that shithole.
-
They marched back to the General Quarters or some shit That Bio-Titan was a asshole.
-
Now ling has been upgraded with an Imperial Knight. He can now fight titans. One golf clap for Ling.
-
Golf clap indeed.
