The black coat of the night.
Night time, on board the bloodwrath. An unsuspecting group of chaos legionaires wish to make a quick kidnapping, murdering and stealing run on the inhabitants of the ship's safe zone. They band, their numbers many, their strategy is sound.
The midnight hour strikes. It is time to attack.
Seeping into the streets like a stealthy mist, they assault a city block, where security was loose. They enter one building. They kidnap the women in the middle of the night, to perform who knows upon them... the men who do not disturb them, they leave. But those who take them in surprise are taken as well. Always have room for more ranks.
Their first wave is successful, they return to their dark conduits to prepare for the second wave. But, to their ignorance, they were being stalked...
They return to their desecrated monuments to prepare the ritual. Until...
One marine, standing next to one of the monuments, turns to find three melta bombs attached to it. Before he can even scream out, the bombs ignite, taking the structure, the marine and everyone around them in a glorious blaze. They were under attack.
Suddenly, strange, never before seen marines reveal themselves. They surround the camp.
Armed with strange weapons, from Plasma cannons to strange ionic weaponry, they ignite the camp in a quick, decisive skirmish. With precise destruction, they leave the enemy camp in ruins. But none of the kidnapped men and women suffer any injuries. These mysterious marines free the captives, untying their bonds and escorting them back to their homes, on the eastern side of the Quarters. But before the last marine leaves, a woman asks, who are those warriors? And they respond.
"We are the Imperial Panthers, guardians of humanity."
An exotic hispanic accent laces the words of the man in armour, who then leaves.
The Imperial Panthers make their camp on the grounds of the Eastern block of the Quarters. Their arrival was, at first, unnoticed, until their numbers had begun roaming the rest of the ship. But wherever they would strike... they would be unseen, until the very last moment, where the dying adversary could see who were the angels of death.
The Panthers had made their presence known to the bloodwrath. It was both a blessing to the Imperium, and a curse to their enemies.
Open. Visit the camp for yourself, check them out.
He chuckles as he eats his food. After swallowing a bite, he says. "You'll get used to it. It was like that for me when I first changed..."
-
"Alright.... I'd be a nightmare at a buffet..."
-
He chuckles. "It's nothing to worry about, Dearest. You'll learn to adapt yourself to your new form..."
-
"Yeah, it isn't that bad anyway. It's just big, really big...."
-
He smirks. "Indeed it is... in all the right places..."
-
"That too...." Alexis flexes her hand, the claws popping in and out.
-
He grins. "I won't lie... this is a definitive upgrade from your previous form."
-
"I can agree with that... I feel like I could run twenty miles without breaking a sweat."
-
"Oh, you could do much, much more. The strength of a space marine is... unparalleled. And you can spit acid."
-
"I can? That sounds useful. I guess no one's going to be able to lock me up with normal means."
-
"Indeed. And that's not counting your Unbreakable skin, your regenerative abilities, your ability to filter toxins, your ability to eat everything and learn through eating..."
-
"Yeah.... I'm going to enjoy every bit of this..."
-
"I knew you would. I'm just glad it made you the way you are..."
-
Alexis nods and yawns. "And I'm glad it worked out this way."
-
The servitor returns with her specially crafted tight combine. "There it is. You may try it on now."
-
Alexis grabs the combine and slips it on.
-
It was a tight, yet perfect fit.
-
"I like this outfit, it fits perfectly."
-
"It does... now you can go out to the camp. Find your gear."
-
Alexis nods and leaves the room, heading back to her tent.
-
She recieves many a strange looks from her brothers on the way there, but none of them try to make a big deal of it.
-
Alexis ignores all the looks, her posture showing her confidence as she takes her steps in strides.
-
As she arrived in her tent, she found all her gear waiting for her. Her very own set of custom built power armour, with a lightning claw powerfist and a combi melta gun.
-
Alexis grins and grabs her power armor, slipping into it and testing it out.
-
Well... slipping it on was an understatement, but I get what you mean. After the long and hard process of putting on the power armour, she noticed it was a comfort, on point fit, made just for her. It would avoid for the armour to become cumbersome and awkward, instead making it feel like a second skin. Her helmet awaited her, it had the shape unique to the Imperial panthers, that of the head of a feline.
