Snipers do dominate Trials and Elimination, which I said before. What I am saying is that they need to balance those game modes to work with special weapons, not balance the special weapons to work with those modes. Sniper Rifles are balance in all but three modes; Skirmish, Elimination and Trials. So, fix the modes and leave the weapon type as is.

  • The only reason snipers dominate in 3vs3 is simple rez sniping. If there were game types in 6vs6 that required rezing snipers would dominate those as well

  • But the issue with that isn't that it's the game mode fault it's the fact that snipers can easily dominate and the reason why it isn't dominating in 6 v 6 is that people don't want to get gunned down by the entirety of the enemy team because you can easily dominate 3 people with a sniper but 5 or 6? Not happening.

  • Essentially you haven't countered that sniper rifles are anything but balanced in 6v6, so I assume you grant me that is true. The data points indicate sniper rifles are fine. If sniper rifles are balanced in 6v6, why further balance them to 3v3? You would essentially break them for 6v6. Bad idea. In Trials and Elimination, what they really need to do is make special ammo round specific, just like heavy ammo and 90% of the complaints will disappear.

  • Their not balanced in 6 v 6 it's just that third is so much going on that it provides less opportunities, but take a look of iron banner clash of control a full team of snipers can easily dominate and I have seen that happen. A single weapon type shouldn't be significantly better then every other one. Snipers should have to have the skills to pay the bills and sadly any person can pick up that OP weapon type.

  • Yes iron banner and 6 v 6 are going to show different results due to such a large amount of players making different choices of course your going to have a normal average due to bad snipers and good snipers how ever in 3 v 3 which I'll admit is s different environment allow snipers to run rampant but like stated earlier anyone can pick up a sniper and body shot man. If you can't acknowledge that and only use data that gets heavily average due to bad players. I would love to see that same data when you have average players (.9 kid +)and above their would be huge differences in that data.

  • You can't balance due to the best players in the game. It's simply not fair to take someone like TrueVanguard, Luminosity, Murdaro, KJHovey or any other A+++ player and balance every weapon based on their performance. I am personally not very good at crucible and find sniper rifles difficult for a number of reason; I use look sensitivity 10 and have an Elite Controller with aggressive look settings. Snipping is way too hard in crucible, so I don't them. However, I am very good at raiding. Does that mean that Bungie should decrease damage values of weapons that I use for raids? Would make as much sense as balancing weapons that people with 2.0+ k/d's use.

  • Here the thing in PVE they should be left alone in PVP serious PVPers are tired of this and I know a lot of people want to defend their crutch. But it doesn't justify having complete bullshit in trials or other game type.
