Background:
My son got me hooked on vanilla Destiny. After realizing that he and I couldn't play together without a 2nd Xbox, we got a 2nd Xbox 360. Fast forward through 2 DLC's and The Taken King turns out not to be license transferable to a 2nd console. So we wind up with 2 Xbox 360's and two full copies of all Destiny DLC's.
The we get an Xbox One, which requires its own copy of TTK, which I understand. Heck, it's a whole new platform and as a software developer myself, I understand the implecations.
Question:
If I'm reading the self-support pages for the Rise of Iron correctly, now that I have purchased another Xbox One (so I can once again play w/ my son) , I'm going to have to purchase a FOURTH copy of TTK? Am I correct?
Is there no means of license transfer or sharing between multi-console households?
I think I could even stomach purchasing two copies of the new DLC, but there surely has to be a way for me to share, transfer, upgrade, hack, beg, borrow or steal the old DLC's to prop up the new Rise of Iron without having to re-purchase (for the 4th time) the old DLC's.
Thanks very much for your help and guidance during this difficult transition. :)
Sincerely,
W@W

Edited by catrodsan: 6/25/2016 4:12:02 AMThe game licenses are non transferable. As outlined on their EULA. If you want to license share, check out Microsoft's page on how to configure license sharing on your console. But be aware that sub accounts might not get all pre order bonuses or anything like that.
