She smiles, tears streaming down her cheeks. Her throat was unable to form words from the emotions. "Yes... absolutely yes... there's nothing else in the world I'd rather want..." She had put her hands up to her mouth, her face in an expression of joy.

Ling placed the ring upon her ring finger and hugged her. Chloanne mysteriously disappeared. "I love you Macha." He moved her other hand from her mouth and kissed her.

She kissed him back with all of her might. This man, a mon keigh, was the man that had made her the happiest woman in the galaxy. At that very moment, nothing else in her life mattered. Not the wars, not their fate on the ship, not the divisions between their people. What mattered to her was the man with whom her heart beat in unison. Her husband.
