The Doge viper probably isn't going to make it to another year of production. However it'll go out well. Dodge will make some special additions to celebrate the vipers anniversary as well as its last year of production. I'm sad that the viper is being axed. It always made me happy that such a mad car was out there.

That's too bad, but I'm not surprised. Sales for them has been dismal for the past several years. That and on track they just haven't lived up to heritage on class. BMW, Porshe, and the Corvette have better funded race teams. I love their look and sound they make, but it's just a very, very niche car. Things like that are never sustainable in a commercial environment. In contrast Shelby Mustangs (GT500, GT350) do well be cause they have a huge following. The Z06 is pretty much in the same category. You can buy either for less than the Viper and drive them more places. Maybe now Dodge can focus on what follows the Hellcat. It needs to be something more 'green' in today's car industry, so maybe a performance hybrid something. Dunno. I thought there was a futuristic styled Cuda in the concept arena, but those normally do not see the showroom floor.
