Im a very casual player. I may raid once a month, if that, or a nightfall twice a month. The first few weeks of the April update had me in the CoE, but as friends move on and this game becoming a bit stale I play very little. Tuesday I knocked out the heroic strikes, dailies, and got my sterling packages. I also decided to run crota solo. After beating him, I thought about the setting of this game and remembered that Ive thought of this numerous times, how many guardians are there? Not the number of players active, but based on the story. The tower is limited, patrols are limited, raids are limited, everything has a relatively small limit on players in one instance. I understand its to prevent lag, but it also leads to the feeling that our numbers are few. I think this was intended.
Anyway, I beat crota and felt very op doing so, and it was good. I like feeling op from time to time. The latest update brought some great improvements to the supers in pve that help with that feeling, but we are still missing some things.
As a rather small group of guardians holding off countless foes on many fronts, we should be a bit op. Especially in the easier content. Maybe we already are and this is all an illogical rant, but I cant get past it. One solution I can see and would greatly appreciate, is bringing back elemental primaries. With the current meta, they would be some sweet icing on the cake for the pve players.
