I dont think the actual guns are the issue.
Here is a fool proof fix. Cut off the thumbs of all good destiny players and I think you will see a difference.

Here the thing it's not about who is good or bad because snipers have no penalties for ridiculous high damage amounts. That's insane and because of what I listed may one can abuse the way these snipers handle.
