Jon Weisnewski and Team don't tune abilities and weapons JUST because people bitch and complain. They look at the data. They see what is getting used, how effective it is and how many people use it, and where. They do read the forums and they may look into the data on the complaint, but that doesn't mean they every base their decisions on complaints of X being too OP.
They tune for the health of the game. If it gets to a point where Strikers are rolling in at an average K/D of 1.08 and Gunslingers are at 1.01, and Shoulder Charge is the reason for it, then ya, they may down tune Shoulder Charge.
An aside: I remember when Shoulder Charge was a Kinetic attack, wasn't even an Arc ability.

Shoulder charge will be nerfed because its causing frustration, not because it's too strong.
-
They're going to nerf strikers, if not for balance reasons, it'll be for overuse.
-
Right.
-
Yes they do. They got you fooled, huh?
-
Yes that is why they nerfed the KD 0.97 Nighstalker. KD 0.97 was just to dominant. Bring the subclass down to 0.95 or 0.93. For the health of the game. Or nerf stuff the people b!tch about.
-
You do know that the KD for all classes and subclasses combined is 1.0 right? When looking at subclasses, a KD approaching 1.0 is quite good. Above 1.0 across the board means a subclass is over performing. So, yes, knocking a support class down a few hundredths of a percent from the upper .90s to the mid .90s seems reasonable.
-
Shadestep got a cool down and Graviton Forfeit was the only helmet Nightstalkers were wearing while rolling the Wombo Combo. Bungie doesn't want there to be only one way to run a subclass. And, what do you know, everyone was running it one way. Same reason Twilight Garrison got hit. That and both were a little too mobile. Both Nightstalker and Defender saw their Spike Grenades have the same change. Tether is now more consistent. And like Defender, Nightstalker is a support class. So doing better than .9 is outstanding
-
So you tell me playing a Nightstalker in PVP is meant to be to go negative? And being able to go positive with KD is not according to their greater plan? They should advertise this somewhere, like when creating a new character (do not choose this subclass if you want to enjoy PVP).
