Sniping takes no skill
Year one was the shotgun crutch but at least it was fast paced rushing . Now since sniping have become so easy with all that aim assist and bs perks like short gaze and unflinching , sniping have become the crutch of this game . Games have become boring and campy with the scout rifle and sniper meta . Games have become longer and less action paced . Bungie will not do anything about them since all the streamers use them . Guess Bungie really wants to get into E sports . But yet they keep nerfing everything to oblivion and can't seem to balance out classes or fix connection issues .

It takes skill. It just happens to be a skill that you can get away with being good at while being terrible at everything else. If you're good at sniping you're good at the only thing you need to be good at to be good in Destiny.

I don't know why people are complaining about campers. Camping is what a sniper is supposed to do. They take their time. And sniping takes a lot of skill. Certainly more than just running with a shotgun, slide and push the trigger

Snipers aren't overpowered, all of the other weapons around them are just weaker.

1 ReplyBeing 1 hit killed is annoying, that's about the end of it! I find my self asking (methaporically) 'why can'y you use a Primary?' BUT Snipers are NOT no skill weapons, Ok if a dudes simply cemented his feet at one end of a lane hard scoping his tits off, getting kills because people are stupid enough to walk right into his sights, how is that his fault? It's not, it's yours! He knows that you're stupid enough to do it, so he does it, in that particular instance it's not skill but knowledge that killed you!

1 ReplyI use NLB. Takes skill and patience. I've learned when to shoot when getting shot at. There is flinching involved but there's a moment where one has the chance to shoot for a precision shot. And if anyone knows to use NLB knows that it's worthless to try bodyshots.

Rushing with a shotgun takes no skill either I drop twice as many kills in a pvp match I'm in using a shotgun compared to when I use a sniper and I mainly snipe

7 RepliesNever thought I'd be seeing this. Ok if snipers take no skill I'd like to see you use one in trials and go ham with it. Yea they take plenty of skill. But I really would like to see some montage clips with a sniper bud, because they take no skill. Right? Hahahaha

If they take no skill... Please link us to a video of you. Taking and sniping like a pro. Other then that. Bungie are idiots that dont know how to balance. they could of balanced without a single nerf.

For 1 They actually made it harder to snipe in year 2 than in year one. They actually reduced aim assist, Even though aim assist has hardly has anything to do with it in the first place, and they added a lot more flinch. And 2 shotguns were in such a bad place for all of year one, fixing it just resulted in people using snipers since they took away the cheap shotties capabilities. So now people actually have to have a little skill when running around with one, which alot of scrubs were unhappy about.

I find using a shotgun and sidearm as easy as sniping. It's just about what people want to use. I've found nothing wrong with any secondaries except for fusion rifles. I'm not saying fusion rifles are bad its just I can't use them lol

Wouldn't say no skill, just overused and annoying. Not unbeatable though. If I get annoyed enough I take out a scout with explosive rounds and have my own fun.

The only thing that takes no skill with a sniper is that bullshit 2 shot kill that it can do. Yet the snipers complain about how shotguns are unfair when a sniper can kill at any range

Of course they take skill. The best players in destiny don't lose just because they get matched up against a team of snipers. They out snipe them... skill Or they rush them..skill Or they use position to avoid sniper lanes..logic I just wish they would remove the head glitch spots from the maps. If your gun and your scope is not visible you shouldn't be able to shoot me you should be shooting directly into the cover you're hiding behind.

13 RepliesSniping has become the meta - for me this is by far the worst meta and even the house of wolves shotgun meta was way better. At least you still used primaries to shut down shotgun rushers. Last word and thorn were op but very effective. Now it's all 1000 ys or y09.

Ahm why i see on the opposite team at least 3 shotty Users? And every game i die mostly against shottys compared to snipes.

3 RepliesHow sad people below are claiming it takes skill to snipe. It takes NO skill whatsoever. There is no sway, no hold breathe, no bullet drop and little flinching even on headshots. There is no skill in sniping. Go play battlefield where all those things I listed exist and come back and tell me it takes skill in Destiny to snipe.
