Just a reminder asking people to please stop overusing Zhalo. In the last month of heroic strikes and nightfalls there's been Arc burn on five times. (3 heroic, 2 nightfalls) No doubt Zhalo has been THE go-to primary weapon for these strikes. Unfortunately we are all playing into Bungie's evil plans to nerf the Zhalo by removing the arc burn from it. How you ask? Simple. By driving up the usage via high level content with Arc burn, Bungie and the sandbox team can now put out a graph next month saying Zhalo is overused and not the diverse primary choices they intended hence it needs a nerf and the burn removed. Don't fall into their games people! They already got your legendary burn primaries and now almost a full year later they're coming for the exotic one.
I know people will think I'm insane or been hanging out with Eris too long in the tower but I'm right people. Just look at some of the changes and nerfs they've made because a certain weapon or archetype is overused in the game. Autos, Pulses and Hand Cannons have all been nerfed due to overuse at some point. Shotguns? Nerfed several times. Snipers? Major ammo nerf due to overuse. Field Scout, Final Round, Counterbalance, Hammer Forged, etc...All nerfed because those were the only perks people were looking to use. Mida? Average weapon nerfed when it suddenly soared to popularity and became heavily overused in pvp. Gjallarhorn? Nerfed because it was virtually the only heavy weapon being used and idiots demanded you had it or you were blacklisted from raids and such. The nerfhammer is coming for Zhalo and its up to us to try and stop it.
Tldr: Stop overusing Zhalo or Bungie will nerf it because that's how they roll.

Don't tell me what to do.
-
Stfu.
-
It separates the men from the boys. If arc burn is on and you use Zhalo Supercell, you're a wanker. If arc burn is on and you use Praedyth's Timepiece, you have the balls of a grizzly bear
-
Stfu, kid. They're not going to take arc burn just because people are using it. That would also take away it's "exotic" status. If you don't want to use it, then dont. That's like saying "stop going for head shots with sniper rifles!".
-
I'm pretty sure they put a burn on one primary weapon so that we can still carry weapons covering all 3 burns. Without one single primary offering a burn, this would be impossible without using your sub class as the third burn.
-
All of Bungie's weapon balances have been based on PvP even in the area of sniper rifle ammo. Also consider that for them to remove the Arc element from the gun it would no longer be the Supercell or have an exotic chaining property. I seriously doubt this would happen and at the end of the day people should use what they want, it's a game. I frequently do Mayhem with the Hardlight just to make people have the reaction "This idiot is using the Hardlight in Mayhem". It's fun.
-
I use it if I'm speed running strikes. I'm honestly not a huge fan if it, but I still have yet to get a shadow price. I'm doing everything I can to rank up quickly.
-
Zhalo is garbage. Newbies use it for Arc burn activities. Get a good arc sniper and bolt caster. You have wayyyyyy better primaries to choose from.
-
The phrase work smarter not harder comes to mind. If they are going to nerf it then we are powerless to stop it. But any time arc burn is on the supercell allows one to cut through enemies efficiently. It makes the run more efficient and quicker. Lets be honest here we have done these activities so many times were not looking to get hung up on them. So until the nerf does or does not come, me along with many other players are going to use it because it is simply faster that way.
-
Personally, I prefer to run Soulstealers claw as primary and Queenbreakers as my Arc weapon.
-
Or you could you know mind your own damn business. People will use it anyway, your long paragraph won't magically make them stop. And if bungie is going to nerf it for overuse then it's already in motion.
-
Edited by TheOneSandman: 7/7/2016 12:06:42 PMSo... Don't use the gun for arguably the only thing that it is good for in the hope that later I can use it for something it is mediocre at? I don't think so... I'm not going to stop using a weapon so that you and the other two people who want to use it regularly can have the misguided peace of mind in its longevity... If there is an arc burn, you bet your sweet ass I'm using the supercell.
-
They want you to use it because its the only y2 elemental primary. They're more likely running data to see what scenarios overpower the burn to adjust the damage and reimplement elemental legendary primaries. Why remove arc fron a weapon that's literally sparking in your hands and all perks are based on arc style abilities? Come on mate, you've huffed a little too much Spirit Bloom with Eris.
-
I give you Hopscotch pilgrim Mida And others nerfed due to popularity not value they even said they felt Mida was balanced but nerfed it anyway
-
On the contrary, use while you can. It will be obsoleted in Sept.
-
It's not overused. Arc burn is practically the only time anytime anyone would use it.
-
Even when small arms and arc is on he won't use it smh
-
He's right you know.
-
Then bring back elemental primaries
-
I use it for nightfalls with arc burn as those can get painful depending on the strike. Use it on the weekly playlist with arc burn so I can burn thru the strikes grinding for engrams, marks, glimmer, etc. I don't see bungie nerfing it that would hurt them more than letting us have 1, 1 elemental primary and its an exotic. Now if they plan to being back elemental primaries them maybe your argument of nerfing it might be more valid in my opinion.
-
Problem is its a legitimate possibility. Bungie is still playing nerf whack a mole so if something is more popular than their thresholds it will get nerfed for no reason other than overuse. If your fun statistically significant it will be piledrived.

......
-
This guy wants everyone to stop so he can continue bahaha
-
While I see that this is satire, it's eerie how it's also a little too close to the truth for comfort. Well done :)
-
Wait, so in order to avoid Bungie nerfing a weapon to the point that it's not used anymore, we should stop using it. Gotcha.
-
A Pve weapon nerf? They haven't sunk that low.
