Not looking to start a class war, console war or any disrepectful dialogue, but is anybody happy with how the classes are right now?
All have stregths and weaknesses. All have been nerfed and/or buffed. It all depends on your play style. With all of the nerf and buff posts it appears that no one is happy at all.

Nope, they've all been nerfed into oblivion and PvP is boring as shit.
-
Honestly I am probably one of the rare few that aren't really bothered about the classes in PvP. All I really use is my primary anyway. I'd quite happily have a game mode that only allows guns... well specifically primary weapons anyway

Gunslinger: Increase Throwing Knife dmg to original Make Tripmines stick again Sunsinger: Restore VK to original but no extra dmg Touch of Flame should do 2 (the minimum) dmg per tick instead of 4 This means Firebolts are still able to be pushed with but not super OP Striker: Reduce Lightning Grenade radius Remove extra damage dealt by Overload Remove 1 Extra armor off Unstoppable Speed up Animation for Death from Above Make Flashbangs explode on impact with an enemy My changes I would make. I was a Titan all of Year 1 A Hunter player for about a year Just started a Warlock last week

Mostly except sunsingers being total garbage now.

I think the classes always have been shallow. Not enough perks or ways to run specific class. I enjoy the personalization of a class. Definitely need to add a two super system in the second. One pve based on pvp based. So then the nerfs wouldn't be needed. And one class wouldn't have edge in pvp or pve. I feel like its being forced when one nerf comes then another. And its taken the fun from one class. I chose said class cause It fit my style of gaming. Have not used other classes much. But the game is becoming one dimensional. Played mayhem and as hunter gg is only effective super. Other classes have two or three. Game just needs more.
-
Mostly fine. They need to rethink Sunsingers, though.

I enjoy the variety, there are so many different play styles available in this game, from different classes, subclass options, then different specs in the subclasses, then there are the whole weapons spectrum to add even more variety, people get stuck on one way to play the game because it works for them that they forget to try new things, and then they come on the forums when bungie shakes things up to complain ( instead of trying new things) because there are no real repercussions in doing so. All in all I think bungie is doing a great job, it just made me want to try new things, variety is the spice of life man, some people just forget that, I'm with destiny until the end, keep up the good work

I still go strong with my Young Ahamkara's Spine Gunslinger. You'd be amazed how many people still get killed by my tripmines
-
Defender.

April update was the best crucible post ttk release
-
I was, more or less, having fun with Gunslinger... But that all changed when Bungie attacked.
-
I'm happy ish. Hunter: Throwing knife didn't need to happen at all Buff damage on trip mine or remove the strobe light Everything else honestly is okay for Hunters. Titans: Fix shoulder charge tracking. Too many times I've rolled behind the titan to only still be killed with him 15 feet behind me. Keep it a 1hit kill as it is easily countered with a shotgun/melee combo Nothing else. I feel titans are pretty balanced Warlocks: Reduce melee range. I shouldn't be 5900000 meters away and still getting hit, or reduce the damage done with distance. Bring back the old burn or increase the bonus damage. The time you get with this buff is so minimal not even pve players can really take advantage of the buff. Reduce armor on stormcaller during super. I put a clip (33 rounds) from a grasp into the head of a stormcaller and still died due to the insane amount of armor they get.

There's things they need to tweak with every single subclass, and they need to figure out what each class, as a whole, is supposed to represent. At present, the subclasses and classes are starting to have little to no diversity between them, and it seems like the stronger they perform in the areas where meant to Excell in, the more bungie wants to nerf them and "bring them in line with their game." The way I see it, as well as a majority of the community, is that the three classes are suppose to represent the cliche Rogue/tank/mage builds. Hunters, the rogues, are supposed to be fast, light on their feet, quick in all areas, and out put incredibly high damage per second. They prioritize speed, high hit rates, and ranged combat. Titans, the tanks, are supposed to be able to play point, eating damage as the go, and being able to put out huge amounts of damage in a single hit. Close range combat is their specialty, and they don't care much for speed. They prioritize health and single, accurate hits on areas to break through the lines. Warlocks, the mages, are supposed to sit further back even than the hunters, buffing the team, debuffing the enemies, and dealing large amounts of damage in sporadic bursts to groups of enemies to bring them within range for the finishers. They prioritize the ability to watch and wait for the right chance. But, while it seems like this is already happening, look at the actual state of the game.. The titans have literally all of that, and the warlocks can do most of it, while the hunters fall behind. The latest update really threw this off. They need to fix it.

Edited by Swiftlock: 7/8/2016 2:13:57 AMThere are still improvements that can be made. Some of the nerfs to Sunsinger and Gunslinger were unjustified and Defender could use a TINY bit of help.
-
Edited by Owlish Athena: 7/8/2016 2:07:28 AMAll of the subclasses were fine before they decided to nerf the hunters again. Don't get me wrong, I play my Titan the most by far, but for bungie to nerf the throwing knives and trip mines was ridiculous. Also, the warlock jump could be fixed to go a little faster.
-
I'm unhappy because now I can't spam shadestep. They also need to give the bow more accuracy. These are just my thoughts.
-
Sunsinger is garbage now, it needs more incentive to actually be of use because if not for the revive nobody would use it at all, in pvp or pve
-
I think the best classes are: Gunslinger, Bladedancer, Voidwalker, Striker... Middle classes are: Sunbreaker, and Stormcaller Bottom of the barrel: Defender and Sunsinger....

If sunbreaker had a better passive game I'd be happier, but it's pretty good otherwise.

I was totally happy but then they took the stick off of tripmines
