Daito is a foundry most famous for their weapon, the Jade Rabbit. But in the card there is a small detail with a lot of meaning (to me). It goes as such:
"Like many weapons of the Dark Age, the Jade Rabbit was created from hastily reassembled—and often poorly understood—Golden Age technology: in this case, kinetic low-atmosphere propulsion systems in use on Luna settlements"
- Jade Rabbit card
So Jade Rabbit was made from Golden Age tech and was from a low-atmosphere propulsion systems? Possibly for satellites? When I hear "Golden Age Tech" I imagine two places: Clovis Bray and The Ishtar Academy/Collective. Perfect! Around Mars and Venus you can see posters for something called OWT, which means Off World Transit. It wasn't a space train (as awesome as that sounds), just a railway on Mars and Venus. Above the posters, though, there is a blue box. The same exact blue for Daito, and with bits of Daito showing!
These facts lead me to believe Daito was/is one of two things:
1) An industrial Golden Age company that built buildings, and whose pipes and exterior were used to make weapons for Guardians
2) An industrial Golden Age company that built life needs, like Structures to Self-defense weapons, of which the weapons would later be taken and modified for field work.
3) (JimPeregrine)
A City Age weapons manufacturer that repurposes/cannibalize Golden Age tech for weapons.
That's all for Daito, and personally, I believe #1 more. Thanks for reading!
