Common sense. Quite literally. Even though our spheres of influence are ever expanding thanks to technology and near instantaneous communication, the matter of what is "common" has become ever more convoluted as radically different ideals and ways of thought shared by small groups which can be brought in line much easier are coming in contact with one another. Instead of a mixing pot, we have created a space large enough for all points of view to drift apart and only come in contact sporadically. Even though it seems as though we are closer than ever because we have the potential to be in touch without consideration to distance, we are in fact becoming ever more isolated by incorporating these tools into our every day lives. Without common, there can be no common sense.
