What app is that that lets you use the messaging service for your console on your phone? Or did he somehow get your phone number and start texting you?

PlayStation messages app. Basically just texting but it shows up on your ps

It looks like Playstation messenger app to me which is seperate from the Playstation app.

Ah that's why. I play on Xbox and I don't think we have an app for that. Thanks for the info, I guess it's another reason to buy a ps4.

tbh Xbox app is better. It's all in one place and they just updated it, it looks amazing.

There is one called Xbox smart glass. They have a 360 and a one version. I use it myself

I just downloaded it on my phone, thanks for all the suggestions guys and letting me know about the apps. Now I'll never do any work.

Xbox has SmartGlass. You can message using phone or table. Pretty handy.

You can use your tablet on PS messages too. I agree it is very handy.

Lol it's all good. Makes communicating with teammates that don't have mics, as well as replying without interrupting your game, pretty easy. Especially using voice text. [spoiler]although voice text has caused a few...mishaps. lmao.[/spoiler]
