"Hm?" [b]The woman looks at Anri, then Vio. A glint of understanding reaches her eyes, and she smiles.[/b] "Ah, I see. How romantic! This way, please."

[b]Genuinely confused, Anri follows. But not before looking at Vio.[/b]

[b]Vio shrugs.[/b] "I didn't know it was [i]this[/i] fancy." [b]The woman leads you both to a table for two in the middle of the dining room, right underneath the largest chandelier.[/b] "Hello, my name is Adalie, I will be your server today," [b]She says.[/b] "Here are your menus, I will be with you shortly." [b]Vio and Anri sit down, and Anri looks at the menu. It is full of confusing french dishes.[/b]

"Jeez..." [b]Considering that she's from another dimension, Anri has no idea what's going on. She looks through the menu, looking for something that she actually understands.[/b]

"Um... I don't really know anything... french... oh, there's wine. You know, wine experts aren't really experts, they just pretend. And nobody needs to know I'm underage...." [b]Adalie returns, bringing bread, and butter.[/b] "Would you like something to drink?" "Uh... can we have a Sauvignon, please?" "Sure. I will be right back."

"A Sau...what? This is way too confusing. But...bread. And butter. Good meal. Let's eat!" [b]Anri treats the bread like it's the actual meal. Considering what life she lived before coming here...it's not surprising.[/b]

[b]The waitress smiles.[/b] "Sure thing." [b]She writes it down, and walks away.[/b] "Sorry about this. I didn't know it would be this fancy, and it would be... french. Anywho, what does Patches do for his business?"

"Oh no, it's fine. Just new to this, I should be sorry.. As for Patches..." [b]Anri sighs.[/b] "He's a murderer. He kills off people that have valuable goods and the sells those goods on the market. He's relentless...maybe even heartless. I've tried making him a better person, but it doesn't work. Tell me Vio...should I just quit? Stop talking to him? He doesn't seem to change. He's a good friend, but these past weeks have been...awful."

[b]Vio blinks.[/b] "I'm pretty sure killing like that is illegal. I know you've tried talking to him... but I think it's time to stop him completely."

"Do you really want to be friends with a mindless killer?" [b]Before you can answer, Adalie returns to the table, holding a platter with two plates of Coq au vin.[/b] "Enjoy."

"Thank you." [b]As the waitress leaves, Anri becomes much more serious.[/b] "I want him to change how he runs his "business". I'm trying to get him to actually act...innocent. To care."

"I don't know. Let's... let's enjoy this restaurant, and talk about it tomorrow, huh?"

[b]Vio grabs the wine, pouring some for both herself and Anri. She downs her whole glass in one, and pours a little more, before starting at her meal.[/b]

[b]Anri simply sips it. She starts eating as well, silent.[/b]
