I am awake but I am not...I know I am of a thousand...I know I have power...I know not who I am
The sorcerer rises and looks around the room he is in. Debris clutters the floor and the room is lit only from the light slicing through the grating above. It smells damp and of old things too rotten to identify.
Where am I
The sorcerer moves around the room feeling the walls. At first it rebels from his touch, like a child scared of a monster, then it caresses his hand. A faint echo of laughter in the distance
This place is cursed, and it seems so am I
He rubs his armored fingers together, smearing ichor between them. Under his helmet he sneers, then turns his attention to a way out. A large door, rusted and coated with unidentified grime grinds open. He instinctively draws his sword and let's the energies of the great ocean move through it.
If I am to open my mind I must move on...

"I am no spirit. I want to know what your purpose is here."

"I seek my lord and my two Rubicae, if you offer no assistance I have none for you."

"What are these rubicae?"

"What is left of my brothers, I now sense their presence on board. They are sleeping, and I alone can wake them for they are bound to my will and my power."

The currents of the aether are as tranquil and still as your mind's eye reaches out into greater awareness. You're safe for now. Ahead of you is the rusty door, "QUARANTINE" etched into the rusty, flakey metal. As you move towards the door, you notice a broken scarab insignia laying on the ground... It does not belong to you, not another of the Thousand Sons Legion. You know who it once belonged to... Ahriman.
-
I reach out and clutch the scarab, my eyes shoot open and a strained gasp escapes my mouth. I collapse in convulsions as flashes of memories pass through my mind. A burning pyramid, knowledge lost not unlike my own situation. Men turn to monsters in both grey and red armor, feelings of emptiness as the silent ones near me. A father is broken by a brother, a portal opens and loyalty is left behind, the cackle of a dark entity is heard and a tear from a single eye falls. I come to and rise, while I know not myself I know my lord is here on this ship, perhaps my purpose lies with him...no...not perhaps, it is for certain. I pick up my sword and pin the scarab to my tabard and move towards the quarantine.

Upon attachment of your new trinket, a feeling of dread clenches your soul like a vice as a towering psychic presence brushes up against your consciousness - a presence you previously did not detect. As your mind is probed, your great power manages to glimpse memories of the aggressor. You have a vision: You're standing upon a raised platform overlooking a massive tomb world... A tomb world of chaos where demons and the dead have been summoned to fill the bodies of fallen legionnaires - creating a new legion, a legion of darkness loyal to only one. The Summoner. A vast fleet of unimaginable power hovers over the tomb forge, and at it's epicenter is the most dreaded vessel in the entire galaxy: the Bloodwrath. The legendary ship is the size of a planet, wielding the most fearsome weaponry ever conceived and commanded by Summoner himself... But then you realize that the ship is alive.... The vision ends, and the door is cracked open - only darkness remains beyond.
-
I shudder at the thought of this terror, I must not only find Ahriman, but also my two Rubicae that are with me. I move through the door and into the darkness beyond attempting to commune with my lost Rubicae and possibly my master telepathically

You find that your communication attempts are being jammed, but echo back into your mind... But the messages are inverted, and in a voice you fail to recognize. You're going to have to find a way out of this dead zone if you're to reconnect with your allies. You feel the current of the aether change as something looks back at you with dead eyes... You see the outline of a hulking warrior in black plate, he is the size of a Primarch.
