I personally feel that slow rate of fire auto rifles need a SLIGHT base damage buff. They simply cannot compete with scout rifles, hand cannons, or pulse rifles. They're to popular and statistics are way better, making auto rifles very, very outplayed. The usage of auto rifles are VERY LOW, and I would like to see all guns equal in PvP. Feel free to LEAVE A LIKE on this post, I would love to see what the majority of the community thinks :D. I really want Bungie to do a little something to auto rifles so they are viable. NOT TALKING ABOUT HIGH FIRE RATE AUTO RIFLES. We all know about the "Doctrine Of Passing".

To all those who say yes.... Well... you are incorrect. I am a middling level PVP'er at best. And they do just fine for me. Learn to use em, because they wreck in PVP. If anything, HIgh impact Pulse rifles, and Hand Cannons need some love. Scouts and Auto's are JUST FINE!
-
Yea they need to crank up the damage a tad even more so on low round of fire autos.
-
The only good low rof auto is suros regime, so yes

Edited by MVASNOOPY: 7/25/2016 7:47:37 PMNothing beats year 1 (Vanilla Destiny) fast paced PvP. I prefer people running with shotguns, and a Suros Regime than a whole team of hallway snipers hiding behind a wall for cover.

I love them I mean if u wanna buff necro be my guest hehhehehe

The low and maybe mid rof need a small buff just so make it competitive. Its like the low/mid rof pulses could do with a small buff.
-
I like my haakon and shadow where they are currently
-
I gave up on these "buff auto rifles" posts, suros will never be back, focus fire will always be shit, and low rate of fire will stay the same

Edited by Wy: 7/26/2016 5:39:13 PMYessssssss

Idk if it's just me but I feel like focus fire isn't getting the added damage bonus it should. Or at least not enough. Thoughts?
-
Yes. That 7% buff didn't help.
-
Shadow price anyone?
-
Sure. Then we can start all over at Sept. 2014 again.
-
The problem is that because those few weapons that do exceptionally well require slight tweaking/nerfs the dev team then usually goes and nerfs pretty much all of the weapon archetypes. There are barely any legendary handcannons that can actually compete nowadays, but then you'll have the exotics and a few 'upper-tiers' that run rampant in the Crucible. I just want Bungie to actually get weapon balancing right and not make the less popular weapons suffer. :[

I believe we can all agree auto rifles need a slight buff. And shotguns need ( oh Lord let me not go there). Lol..I got kill by more shotguns this iron banner then anything
-
High impact need damage and range boost, mid need range buff, low impact need range reduced to about 2x shotgun range.
-
-
Completely agree. And maybe a very slight boost to range or stability on the medium rate of fire ones. Not you doctrine! You're fine
-
Medium fire-rate seems a little off for me
-
If I can go 2.5 K.D most games these days with a hard light, they dot need a buff
-
Edited by DaGroove: 7/26/2016 2:54:52 PMI've gotten two amazing autos lately (haakon's and grim citizen). Grenadier on one and counterbalance on the other, great scopes and middle tree. Problem is they both dropped with focus fire so they're completely unusable unless facing someone who can't land all their shots.

I love using the Arminius-D & I agree, the low rate of fire & focus fire AR's do need a buff. If I round a corner on say, a Suros Regime user, I should have to be on target for headshots or have started shooting first (AND hitting the other player) to kill that player. That was what I loved about my Arminius-D, I had to be on point to be rewarded with a kill. (Ok, ok, I also loved the fact I could just hold down the trigger as I tracked someone trying to fly & kill me, lol). The right gun should always be a beast & once you master it, you should feel like a beast as you use it. Also, people need to realize they get out played. Just because they suck with a particular gun, does not mean that some one else is not a badass with that gun.

I really miss my Y1 Shadow Price, didn`t really need other weapons except for the elementals.
-
Usually try to avoid nerf/buff posts but I had been thinking this myself. During IB I ran a few games with a Righteous VII, a few with a Grim Citizen and a few with a Shadow Price. All 3 were great fun to use but they are just a tad underpowered so yes I would back a slight tweak upwards and hopefully this will add to variety.

High impact ones do
