Soooo what did everyone think of the reveals for sonic mania and project sonic? I personally, am more hyped than the sonic generations reveal.

I'm SUPER excited! My only problem, though, is the inclusion of Classic Sonic. Now hold on, put your pitchforks down, and let me explain; I really enjoyed Generations, It was fun, both the Classic and Modern gameplay, and a very good homage to everyone's favorite blue blur. However, I think that if Classic Sonic were to appear in any mainstream game, you would be making Generations that much less special; remember, Generations was about celebrating 20 years of Sonic the Hedgehog by combining his Modern self with his original Classic self in one game, and when you put Sonic's past self in Project 2017, you're taking away the impact he has from being in Generations. That, and we JUST had an anniversary celebration; 20 and 25 years are great milestones, but still, they're a little too close to each have a Generations game; they need something big and ambitious instead, kinda like what '06 was supposed to be. On second thought, exactly like Sonic 2006 was supposed to be; it was to blaze a new trail for Sonic, and give new things to Sonic fans both new and old; things none of them had experienced yet, nostalgia for older fans, and, for those who had never experienced the nostalgic parts, they got to experience them now. Of course, we all know Next Gen failed, but still, I think that's what Project 2017 is going to be like. Now, one last thing I wanna say about Classic Sonic in Project 2017 is that we're getting Sonic Mania already; we don't exactly need Classic Sonic in another game, at least not now. And on that note, I wanna say that I would love another Generations game, but not anytime soon. Before I go, I just want to clarify that I am indeed a BIG sonic fan, and that I in no way hate Classic Sonic, or the classic games (just want to point that out so I don't get people thinkin' otherwise and getting mad at me). :)
