And how would say, solar ammo against a void Sword affect the outcome of the shooting? Literally the only thing that would change is blocking with a matched element sword would increase damage a little. With that however they could at the same time just bust out their super and now you down anyway

Because swords are sooo useful in pvp. Even when someone is using a sword how often do you use the block ability?

Often. It's a great distraction making the enemy waste their heavy. Also, you might be able to close the gap between you, the person firing, and the person unaware you are there

Not all swords are exotic........
