The woman's eyes widen, and the man runs up to Cyarthur, holding a knife up to his throat.
-
*Cyan grabs the man's arm and twists it behind him, making him drop the knife* Big mistake. The execution will commence and this man is sentenced to an indefinite period in prison for attempted murder.
-
The woman laughs maniacally. "This boy is smarter than he looks!" She yells out, before a loud cracking is heard as her neck snaps by the rope. The man is dragged away by three men, towards the prison. The townsmen seem happy with Cyarthur's judgement. Time skips forward, and Cyarthur is 24, sitting in the throne room. 6 years of happiness, and Arthur is already being celebrated as the greatest king of the lands. A man in full battle armor kneels before Cyarthur. "My brother... I must say, I am in disagreement with your latest decision to allow the building's demolition...."
-
Why do you say that?
-
"Brother, the building was full with valuables! We could've used it for a base for the army, or such... I've been in disagreement with many of your latest decisions, actually, and many in your army stand by me."
-
The building was rotted and frail, we cannot afford to rebuild it anew. I apologize if you disagree with my decisions, however running a kingdom is harder than you expect
-
The man growls. "Then, Arthur, how about handing the position to your big brother?"
-
Oh, no. Look, it is difficult, but the one deemed worthy is chosen to rule it. I'm not sure what you would do if you ruled.
-
"Too bad, brother. War has begun." Outside the castle, the two halves of King Arthur's army clash.
-
Why must you do this? *Cyan is really pissed off about this guy and rises*
-
He's Arthur's brother.
The brother stands, as well. "You don't deserve to be king. No, I had been training all my life to be king, and then you came along. I believe we will meet again, brother." The war goes on outside, one side standing firmly behind King Arthur's ideals, while the other half, corrupted by his brother. Knights rush in, guarding the brother.
-
I apologize for this brother, but you have no idea who you're up against. *Cyan grabs Excalibur* I don't want to kill you, eh, I really don't care about you. I will not lose to a corrupted tyrant.
-
He laughs maniacally. "Ah, but I'm sure you care about your people...." Time speeds forward, until Arthur stands on the battlefield, 10 years later. The battlefield is stained with blood, and everybody around him was dead. The civilians, dead. The army, dead. Arthur's parents, dead. Arthur's lover, tortured to death by his brother's armies. And, his brother stands in front him, the only other person alive. "Brother, it's been a long decade."
-
It has. *Cyan's mind races with memories that are not her's. Years of war, death, corruption* Why did you do this?
-
"Some people, Arthur... some people don't have a reason, other than to simply cause destruction, and wreak havoc upon one's life." The brother draws his sword, charging at Cyarthur.
-
*Cyan jumps to the side and stabs at your back*
-
Excalibur goes straight through the brother's chest, stabbing his heart. Excalibur explodes in holy light, and the brother falls, corpse scorched, and dead. Everything around Cyarthur, dead. The kingdom. The army. Arthur's family. The ground is stained with the blood of thousands of dead bodies, and the sky is blood-red.
-
Reminds me of the New Underworld. That brief time Mortar was the king... *Cyan keeps the blade in hand as she walks around*
-
This is the point where Arthur suicides.
The sun begins to set, staining the bloody sky with orange.
-
Alright
I think he said something about him... killing himself... Ah, I hate this... *Cyan stabs herself in the chest*
-
As the sword reaches her, Arthur pulls Excalibur away from Cyan. "I think that's all that needs to be seen...." He says, stowing the sword.
-
I don't think there was much else to see... I'm sorry... *Cyan looks down* How long were you there?
-
"Hm. I just got back around 3 minutes ago." Arthur sighs. "Well, now you know the past behind the fabled King Arthur."
-
Yes, I am sorry about that. Of course, I have had similar experiences.
-
"I'm sure you have, Cyan. Now, it's getting late. I think that it's time for you to go." Arthur gestures towards the door. "I'm sorry if I am being a little rude."
