You mean to tell me that Bungie intentionally picked Modifers for COE just to watch us mostly struggle up until this point? (Must read)

I DO Play in teams, but I figured to try and introduce another point of view. So your saying that when that June Update came that made scoring almost impossible for solo players AND was time consuming, It was also the update which reset the modifiers to Trickle and Brawler that week, Chosen by Bungie? And for what reason? For those of you wondering what I'm rambling about: Remember that one update where COE was made harder for some reason because people were racking up points (honestly, who cared, we just wanted our 90k points for loot and left the moment that happened) and caused alot of angry guardians to appear? And according to this weekly update, They deliberately chose the modifiers "Trickle and Berserk/Angry" after that update launched just to test it out most likely with Keksis, Val'Arun and the Taken Prohibited Mind(my guess)? Unbelievable. Now I know that there were some weeks that you were feeling generous and gave us Bonus Precision Kills/Small Arms and stuff but really? Are you trying to make your players angry after making them go through a struggling activity for just to level up only to get bad loot (most likely) and then tell us you deliberately chose those modifers? And before that all happened, you told us in updates that they were in rotation for 16 weeks and that the rotation would reset back to Week 1 COE? Really making me think to reconsider "Throwing Money at the Screen" for Rise of Iron. Because either you changed your minds or continue to lie to us. TL:DR Bungie Intentionally picked the modifiers for COE up until next week which have proved time consuming or unsuccessful for solo or double players in most cases, and intentionally set up that gruesome Trickle/Beserk POE week after an Patch that made that week harder. Edit: I'm not saying I play Solo. I don't. But for players that do, I feel like they've been going through a much more hardship than us players in teams.

  • They were not choosing! There was a rotation. The pattern repeated itself and were almost to the end of the second cycle. Dont listen to deej, he tries to confuse with big words and long diatribes about absolutely nothing. He uses 7 words when 3 will do! We get it deej, you own a thesaurus!

    Yes both myself and all my friends have not done a single Coe since that update. Most of us are family men who have time to get in and have a laugh, maybe some good loot and go to bed. But after that we all got really disappointed and haven't played coe since. I'm sick of their grind.

[/quote] That was most certainly aimed at stopping solo players in their tracks and also to increase the playtime/grind for teams. They've had a long track record of "encouraging" the social aspect of this game and prolonging the grind, so this change came as no surprise to me. To be honest I'm surprised it wasn't done after the first week.

    • I personally think CoE is too easy for a 3 members. My suggestion is for them to buff the rewards for Y3 and make it a one member activity. Solo player such as you should like this suggestion.

      • That's the sickening truth behind bungie. They hate us by changing crucible latency matchmaking to skill based matchmaking, the randomly pick movie of the week despite votes on submissions, they made things hard for us to get to 320 by giving us a crappy RNG pool. They continue to ruin vanguard and crucible packages with armour we don't need. They nerf and axe all the good things we had aka Thorn and Ice breaker. What it boils down is, they want money, they hate us glitching their raids and we are no more just numbers in their database. Tyrants be evil who don't care about the little man.

      • I did the first week of CoE solo. I enjoyed it a bit gave me something to do in a game where being solo is apparently an ancient curse. 2nd week of CoE the modifiers were clearly something no typical solo player should sit through. I haven't logged in since and I won't be purchasing Rise of Preorder Gjallarhorn. I actually switched over to WoW. They're support for solo players is fantastic. I log in, I queue for content, I solo old raids for transmog. I am not considered a second class consumer because I play solo. Bungie had their opportunity to learn from blizzard. They squandered it.

        • If bungie can do ANYTHING to increase grind without increasing payout, they will do it, just to keep you playing a LITTLE bit longer. They're not confident enough that they can make a game that you'll keep playing because its fun. So they keep finding ways to increase the grind. And they nerf things that decrease grind.

To say that's how it happened is disingenuous at best, trolling at worst. I would almost bet my ps4 that part of their decision was based on the [i][b]average [/b][/i]fireteam consistently getting at least 45k. Meaning only 2 runs. There goal was to choose interesting modifier combinations to not only make it challenging, but fun. Missed the mark a bit on both counts. But remember: this is considered [b][i]endgame content[/i][/b] and was [b][i]not [/i][/b]designed with the solo player in mind. However, I've said since April that there was absolutely no reason to not include OMM given the ease of completion, even after the points nerf.

                • It's by far the easiest and quickest way to 335 loot.......I've had no problems doing all three class' sigils since it started. Breezing through them isn't fun...a little bit of a challenge is a good thing.
