Just buy a next gen console already. They've been out for years now and are pretty affordable

Affordable for you maybe. It's not so easy for some of us. Some of us aren't of legal working age or maybe can't even function well in a job yet to make enough money (hopefully you get what I mean). We may also come from families whose income is tight.
