Sorry, but everyone agreed to the EULA and ToS. Bungie has lawyers. I'm sure their lawyers helped them come up with both of those documents. Bungie can pretty much do what they want with the game. They can decide to completely take the servers down, and then, nobody will be playing. I do understand why old gen fans are upset (to an extent). At the same time, D2 was supposed to come out in Sept. They were going to have to switch anyway. I believe the only reason that we are getting RoI is because they pushed the release date on D2. It would explain the 6 month or so timeframe from the announcement of RoI until the release of RoI.

 • I agree with you. This dlc was never intended. We were told there was nothing coming, but events. But after huge numbers left, due to crap raid, sbmm, and overall state of the game. They had no choice, active numbers got very low and forced their hand. First they handed out free max light level and candy in april and now this dlc. They are hoping this will help sell destiny 2. All you have to do is some daily bounties and patrols, to see that most of the people playing are new.

 • I can agree with you. Well, hopefully D2 will be a really big leap. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Destiny. I've played it more than just about anyother game (I can't let Punch Out! go). They did bring in High Moon Studios to help them with D2, so that should help. They said they want to make a game that is miles ahead of Destiny. Now, they have the manpower, amd time to do it.

 • What do you think of this theory? RoI dlc wasn't meant for destiny. Could it have been coded differently and be why they chose to leave old gen behind now? If not the whole dlc, maybe a part of it Possibly events or pvp mode.

 •
They are hoping this will help sell destiny 2.
EXACTLY. So few people seem to understand this and become downright hostile when someone suggests it.
