So, got a60" plasma tv. Had it a couple years now, and it's developed a problem lately. The middle of the screen goes from fine to kinda half faded, splotchy, just crappy. Also, when is actually flickering it will burn in in like a second, but isn't permanent. Tends to happen on brighter colors. Any thoughts on what it might be/possible fixes would be greatly appreciated. I can try to get the problem on camera, but that doesn't work well.
(And yes, i know plasmas aren't the best for gaming, but this one's done just fine so far and i don't have money for a new one)

I've never owned a plasma but every time an LCD TV of mine got a bad spot it would just get worse and worse. I airways bought cheap ones so to repair it would've cost more than to buy a new one. Thank god for protection plans though

Were all nerds here of course someone will know how to help. Either way it sounds like tv is giving out. Time for a new one.

Sure sounds like something is failing, you sure it's not burning out? What's the make and model? You can always look up if people had similar issues and what the cause was.

Have you tried adjusting the brightness?

It might be giving out. I'd try to leave it unplugged for awhile them try it but other than that it might be fine for a be tv or at least get a new one for gaming and watch regular tv on that one. 32 inch tvs are 150 bucks now.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
