If you could go back and redo the appearance and type of any old Pokemon, which Pokemon would you redo and how?
The four Pokemon in the image above (link here for those who can't see it) are the new unique Alolan forms of the Generation I Pokemon Vulpix, Ninetails, Sandshrew and Sandslash. Vulpix is Ice, Ninetails is Ice/Fairy, and Sandshrew and Sandslash are Ice/Steel.
The reason why these Pokemon have new forms is because of the extreme environments within the Alola region, forcing them to adapt in rather extreme ways.
Also this just proves they've ran out of ideas

Obvious choice, but arcanine. I feel he doesn't get enough love for what was a super cool (and almost legendary) Pokemon.

A Diglett with dragon wings

Forgot exacuter(misspelled) I think Jynx would be a cool redo

Edited by Trestero: 8/2/2016 7:03:53 PMHard choice, honestly. I hope there's a lot more of these variations coming, though; it's refreshing as hell and it actually strikes me as the kind of shuffle Pokemon's needed to stay fresh. It'd be pretty cool if they redid Geodude or Onix's evolution trees to live in lavarock and gave them fire/rock or fire/ground typing. I was really skeptical before, but now I'm getting a good feeling about this generation. I don't know if Pokemon's got another 20 years in it, but it's looking like this'll help.
